Funny, that is basically my build 🙂 Fun fact: i tend to ruin my "builds," by mostly recruiting vassal troops, who don t profit from my advantages,.

Industrious culture really meshes well with order and nature. The only thing industrious is missing is healing. If this build is really that good with vassals then I would swap runesmith for chosen uniters for the 30% vassal tribute boost. You still get a +1 to shields and polearms too and you start with an extra whispering stone. I feel like going into tome of sanctuary would be a good natural progression for this build rather than subjugation. Anointed people gives you 3 spirit resist which negates the negative spirit resist from gloom strider. Keepers mark gives your melee fighters faithful and negates their first death in combat. Consecrated domain gives you 2 resistance and 20 moral at the start of combat. That 20 moral is probably effected by revelers heart. Both salvation and healing spires heal and give bolstered resistance. Those bolstered resistance stacks can then be used by a steelshaper for more heals and strengthen. I would pick tome of severing for even more enchantment disruption and tome of exaltation as tier 4s. Exaltation gives you some strong stuff. While you cant use angelize, you can use resurrection. Meaning death isnt even enough to keep your units down. Ascend warriors gives every non hero unit in your army +1 rank. You can make max level tier 3,4 and mythic units with this spell. Temple of the exalted gives mana, stability and doubles your governor's bonus which is nice. The ruler's statue province improvement is huge. Vassals and allies now give you imperium, your hero can cast spells while in the void and you spend one less turn in the void on the rare chance your already incredibly hard to kill army dies. Lastly there is the shrine of smiting that ignores 50% resistance and gets a damage bonus from faithful units, thats basically your whole army at this point. By this point the majority of your army has reduced upkeep, high physical and magical defense High status resist, can nullify death once. can shut down enemy buffs, can heal off any debuffs they do take and are all max level. Enter Tome of the god emperor. Mass revive brings back all your your faithful units. Divine protection gives an army resurgence for a turn. Exalted champion. Target unit gets 100% more damage, 5 stacks of bolstered defense and resistance. Combo that with a steel shaper for 150% damage for 3 turns. The Shrine of smiting is going to love that little combo. I feel going the faith route gives you an army that is practically impossible to take down due to their immense durability, constant healing and ability to shut down buffs and shrug off debuffs. The whole coming back from the dead thing helps too. You can even rp it as your leader having a god complex.

Runesmiths replaceable eh? I feel using a Champion + Imperialist will give you +40 stability making those convents produce 3 times their income from the get go. It can also give you some room in build queues for badly needed buildings in any situation. Good build video.

How about a build which is focused around not combat but rather the gloom from the altar of marching gloom. How can one optimize to turn the world purple. I also found out (probably a bug and not intended) that the solar Nexus from the high culture thinks that EVERY gloom province is a research post giving +5 city stability per gloom province. Not sure if that's anything useful but trowing it out here as a challenge The idea is to win whitout needing to fight much as the gloom will harm everyone else outside of battle to the point that the enemy can't win no matter how broken their setup might be
