These videos are great, and they are really helping me to enjoy the game. FYI, at least here in the U.S., moral is pronounced MOE-rull (i.e., as you are saying), but morale is pronounced moe-RALL (i.e., more like the French). I was confused at first when I heard moral, thinking there was something else going on. :)
Love your Age of Wonders material and I would love to see a few more thematic builds in between updates, but I understand that it probably isn't good for the algorithm. Feudal seems an odd choice for utilising that mobility, given that your mainstay units for the mid game are all about standing together, but then I suppose you took it for the mounted shock unit. Have you considered mystic for the T2 shield stun AOE into the back line to pin down archers etc, branching into tyrant knights for the shock upgrade?
I've been considering all manner of different utilizations of this one while making this video. I did pick up the feudals on a whim and noticed they worked really well with that kind of mobility. The T2 Defenders are surprisingly good at positioning wherever there is a small hole to buff up defenses. They also grind down enemies decently, being able to flank easily with all the mobility. I'm pretty sure though they are not the best faction for the Eagle mounts. They are good at using them, but surely there's gonna be a better setup
Nice, however I personally prefer creating "fast" armies with eagle mounts. I took Reavers because of mounted support unit, added white witches, glade runners (fantastic synergies with reavers) and then go almost full Order for tyrant knights and exemplars. This army is great with any leader, but dragon lord is especially good. Primal culture can do it too, I think.
Yup, I was myself brainstorming alternative builds for the Eagles and was theorycrafting in similar directions like you (especially the Order Tome Units). These fast army stacks are amazing me thinks ^^
I seem to have more points for race traits. Eagle Mounts only costs 3 now so I can get 1 point traits or a 2 point trait. I think Defensive or Overwhelm tactics would be better than Hardy and Elusive together right?
I've been looking for a fun feudal build to try, this one looks like a good one. Also, just a heads up, Icon: The way you pronounce morale is a bit wrong. You're saying the equivalent to moral (like morality) but morale is pronounced (in English) more-al, wtih 'al' being like the name Al (short for Albert). I assume English isn't your primary language, so I thought you might like to know.
Well, that's been already mentioned with the pronounces on this video. Please just let me know, I'll look up the pronounces myself. My German brain is unable to process your attempts to tell me how it should sound. I'll just look it up and I'm better off.
im playing this at the moment, the problem is the healers are not mounted.... not sure how to fix that, possibly use another culture.... anyway thanks for the video
Great build, but I have a question about support units. The Skald is a great unit, but it doesn’t fly. Do we just ignore supports with this build? Rely on heroes for healing? So far, I have mostly been using them as defensive armies with other non-flying units.
I've been very succesful with Hero only support on this build. Flying only units is not a must have either. It is only necessary when you want to be really fast on the map.
