He’s not a monster. Just a very neglected, abused and sad boy that lost his childhood all because of a selfish woman who didn’t keep her legs closed. I also blame the justice system since it’s just pure trash considering how kids in these situations always get destroyed because no one seemed to even care about them. Basically America.

Those friends saying the dad should give her money are morons, how about they give her money instead of OP's dad, if they're that concerned about OP's mom, OP should then tell them to do one and cut contact with them.

I gaged when he said his sister would drool on it not want it then op mom would give it to him to eat. That’s completely insane. I think some parents genuinely feel like they own their kid so they think they can do whatever they want and that their never gonna grow up and leave them forever. Then act shocked when they go NC. Also people looking from the outside in always get so generous with other people’s money. If ya all so concerned get together and start sending money to them yourself.

Rather than telling people to eff off, I would be telling them your story. Stand strong and let them know what they are condoning.

I do not blame OP for running away from his mom, he and his father aren't obligated to take care for his half-sister, physically or financially. I just hope that one day he will understand that all of this isn't his half-sister fault, and she is a victim of circumstances like he is, and he will learn not to hate her because all of this only his mother's fault, since she could go after her ex-husband in court, but couldn't do the same with AP, and she shifted a lot of her responsibilities on OP, and he didn't ask for this. But, even if OP stops hating his half-sister, it doesn't mean that he should in any way have contact with her.

1. Using the wording of 'using child support correctly' is usually something I loathe. Because child support goes to the child , to support the child, and that means as soon as there are bills to be paid that would be either lesser with just mom, or not even be there in the first place. And believe me, children need a lot more money to be supported than most men are paying... BUT! Child support is NOT meant to pay for the special needs of a child not biologically related to the parent paying support. She has her own father, and if necessary, OP's mom needs to sue that man for support. Yes, this is a morally grey area, and I recognise that. Does the care for a special needs child cost a lot of money? Yes. Is mom (and probably her partner) short on money to care for her? Most likely. Would that child support for OP help mom to take care of the special needs child? Surely without a doubt. Is it RIGHT, tho... (especially as seeing that OP hadn't had new clothes for a while, and what else.) 2. Talking like that about her half sister is understandable, but ... yeah. No. Sorry. Distasteful. The only thing I would say the dad and op are the assholes are the counter suite, taking more money away from her when she is already struggling isn’t good. Though I will acknowledge that they are within their rights, and it’s their choice to do so, just think that that is kinda awful. I don’t think she is entitled to money from them beside that.
