Thanks for the video! Really interesting to watch you play. I always thought Pluffy wants to go second? especially into the Enel/Katakuri matchup? Also, do you feel like taking those early hits may be risky?
Your first curve is so good that you'd rather just go first. If you go first you can play paulie and use the effect while you're opponent is still on 4 don which means paulie can ko anything they play as long as they don't have ko immunity as well as putting you on 10 don turn 4. You take the early hits because you want to save the counter to defend your board. Because of who well you cheat curve, your opponent has limited options to deal with your board early unless they swing into you characters. Which is really whag you want as long as you can defend your characters because if they invest don to attack board they arent develop any characters
You don't want to give cards early because then your opponent can start clearing board more easily, basically save counter for characters until you are at 1-2 life. This deck is kind of like newgate in that you want to see as many cards as early as possible.
@@StrawHatsAreCool i actually went 4-0 last week at locals with pluffy, and i did notice that i struggled defending board a bit, I'll have to try it out this way and see what it feels like
I feel like the power of pluffy was very exagerated when the set was first coming out, he does decent into most things but he doesnt really crush anything unlike enel and saka who have some insane matchups and less weaknesses, only the other two are topping
