Bonney really is a bad matchup for Kalgara, however as far as I could see from the list based on glimpses at hand and what was played, the list seems too focused on control/trigger/defense and Kalgara really needs some more meat to beat down the opponents, thus why so many lists run the 5c rush ace, to pressure hard even if your field gets smashed. A control list like that, if you can´t keep the field up, you end up with cards that will just land on the board and stay there menacingly, like that last Yamato, it healed the kalgara player but killed nothing and the game was over before it could actually swing. Maybe the Kalgara player was just hoping for maybe a bege on trigger and I could be wrong but I also saw no 1c events for 3k + upper yard or flame split (which would help loads against Uroge), those usually are pretty key to pulling out extra counters (due to upper yard) on counter phase and increasing the leader attack untill the end of turn (on Flame split case) which makes the counter to be easier. If I would be daring to have a boss on the deck for high cost, it would maybe be the 10c ace because at least it heals, rushes and it´s a 10k beatstick, but I would still rather not go high cost for having spare don for defensive events and leave the rushing for 5c ace or MAYBE, 7c Enel, although I don´t really like him for the deck due to the high cost (but it is still searchable though so there is that). Still a fun game to watch and reflect on how Kalgara can sure pack a punch and put even Bonney on the ropes.
I completely agree with you. I tried a list with rush Enel but 5c Ace is better even if is not searchable. Ace is less expensive and, even if you have to be at two lives to use the rush effect, you can still use leader effect to go down to two lives and then play ace instead of Norland.
Loved the game play, super high quality. You sounded so sure and confident from turn 1 to around 5-6, then Bonny started hitting curve and things got real quiet. But well played. GGs
Maybe u misplayed I could of be wrong, but u could of swing 2 12k swings at one of the doffy if u amaru rest the uronge on your second/third to last turn, opponent only had three in hand
kalgara alwayse wins from bonney i think the list is off feels like a mix of shandorian warriros and een enel trigger list for sure having el thor and earth wont lose is a must in that deck i think amaru is a dead card if u wanna rest stuff get flame split instead uysing cards with trigger dont work with a leader that takes its own lifes also dont try to clear board if u kept swinging for lead eventually u win she cant handle the pressure bonny was alwayse going to clear ur board before u clear hers this is why regionals winner rg law won from bonny purely keep hiting
