i think you have been a bit unfortunate it looks like a very nice manta i have had a few mantas over the years and found them to be very reliable only one time did one let me down that was because of a loose spade connection on the fuel pump five minutes with a pliers and never stopped again .
@davidroberts30 was thinking about swapping the cam , will need a chain and tensioner in the near future , got annoying rattle when warm ,quiet when cold ..:(
I had my gte on a polished head,the fast road cam and a twin down draught weber carb of a carpi,and a ashley comp exhaust sounded like a rally car🤣,take her out and drive on and you do well to get 12mpg🤣🤣great fun tho back in the day👌👌
