@@DashboardSymbols I've changed the battery in the key fob...but still only starts by holding the fob near the side of the steering wheel as you described...and outsude car I cannot lock the car by the key fob or by pressing the button on the handle x
@@swally4704 Well, I would check that the battery is not upside down and/or that the backing on the battery has been removed. And its actually possible to have picked up a defective battery...
I have a 2013 explorer limited with push to start. Just the other day I drove home from the airport, stopped at the car wash, and home. Parked in driveway car sits overnight. Next morning car cranks, but will not start. It sounds like it is not getting fuel. I checked the relays and ended up replacing 3 of them as they were corroded. I can hear the fuel pump kick on when im in the car, still no start. I remember hitting a pot hole on the expressway by the airport on my way home and thinking maybe it set off the inertia sensor to disable the fuel system. Looked in the back where my navigator had a panel i could remove and reset the fuel shutoff. There is no such thing in the rear unless I am blind. Under passenger footwell panel? Is this even a likely cause? Car drove normal all 75miles home from the airport. I have placed the keyfob inside the center console and tried to start as well, same result. Something is telling this CGM not to send fuel and i'm striking out. Any ideas?
Well, I understand why you might ask us, but the video is restricted to fob issues. Given that the engine cranks, placing the fob in the back up spot will do nothing. Further, if there is a shut off related to hitting a pot hole, the car would have shut off immediately. This needs a hands-on diagnosis -- unless of course the car is actually now out of gas...
It should. In any case, if it truly is an EcoSport, save the vid for starting instructions and watch this one (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RERRo3QHfcM.html) to get inside. Just about the 3 minute mark...
I have a 2018 Ecosport SES and putting the key fob in the console slot didn’t work for some reason. I left the car, walked around and came back into the car and it started right up. With out the key fob in the slot and the battery was still dead. I’m so confused
