His voice has gotten much much better as they have continued to tour. Even Steve said he would have to change keys to sing these songs at his age. We should all just enjoy the fact that these songs are still being played live and get over the fact that these old guys ain't perfect because none of us are.

I happened to talk to someone who's a little bit racist and even called arnel a monkey. If you don't want the person then don't. He's not forcing anyone. He's just hired to sing the song. But why so much hate? Anyways steve is steve and arnel is arnel. No one is replacing anyone. Arnel respects steve and i think steve respect arnel as well. Let's just enjoy the music.
I am so glad Neil found Arnel. They wanted to keep playing live…they are a tremendous live band. Arnel is a wonderful contribution to Journey, and I am reliving all those great songs with his own voice. 💖
I enjoyed Journey with Steve. And I enjoy Journey with Arnel. He is rightly a member of the band, not just a hired gun. They are NOT a Journey cover band. He makes the songs his own and I think that is what drew the band to him when they found him on RU-vid many years ago. And for that, I would have to thanks RU-vid for being the platform it was to get him heard and seen.

he helped but what really gave this band a second lease on life, was the ending of the Soprano's episode with Don't Stop Believin, then becoming the most download song of the 21st Century. They had started to see a bit of a renaissance with JSS On vocals and touring with Def Leppard

Amazing, isn't it? ! What a dedication to the band! So, for bashers out there-it is just foolish to even hope for changing a frontman like AP who is doing wonderfully well with Journey... To get another Journey frontman may mean a very bad move-- to train what AP is doing now-??? My goodness !! N Schon and J Cain are NOT stupid to gamble to replace AP at this stage! Me and my wife hit as many concerts as we can bcuz this isn’t going on much longer. And I’m going out with these bands in the blaze of glory!

Saying Journey is a cover band is comparing it to Queen with Adam Lambert. I know their are a lot of Steve Perry fans including me but this looked like it was one Hell of a good time. 👍 Amazing energy by everyone 👏 listening through my home theater . first off, hacks use the term cover band to describe a band that does not have members who they are familiar with. A cover band does not have people who wrote and recorded the original music in it, it cannot use the legal name of the brand and it does not cover only one band's songs, so people who use it are ignorant to what a cover band is

People who watch the concert pay for their tickets and said its awsome. Keyboard people who did not spend a dime and only watch vedios in youtube criticize as if they can sing more than Arnel can. Arnel is not Steve Perry of the 80's, but neither is Steve Perry. Arnel does as good as anyone could with these amazing songs. I love listening to him and his delivery is so close to the original it's incredible! You rock Arnel (and Journey! love you guys!) and still love SP - he's a legend!

I love and appreciate Arnel, but at the end of the day time is irrelevant and Steve's Journey is the one that will live forever. 100+ years from now Steve will still be blessing peoples ear drums. Unfortunately I don't think it will be the same for Arnel.

Still the 2nd best frontman of journey. But tbh he's my favorite amongst all of them. Separate ways is really one of their hardest songs. In his first years in journey he sang that way better than Steve. Now he struggles to sing that song, it is really one of their hardest piece

I’m sorry you feel this way about Cain, he is a devout Christian who isn’t ashamed to share his faith. As a fellow Christian I’m overjoyed to see him using his fame and talent to give glory to God.
In original key! Nice!! However, knowing people age and how it affects voice, I would not condemn detuning a little bit, but only if needing too. ALWAYS prefer original keys though, just flows and sounds like I remember them when I was a teen. I think they were detuning a few tours ago so very surprised to see and hear!

A new generation of Journey, yes. But they all hold their own and have reached yet another generation with their timeless music. And with Deen back, they have come full circle. Yes, Steve Perry is still missed but he has moved on from Journey. Enjoy this new lineup as they bring all the magic and sound of Journey to the stage.
