In times of urgency, "getting to the point, is beneficial"....When sharing personal stories and helpful knowledge.....with one another, it is in the sequence of the details, "surrounding the point", which may take time but that "time", serves to make the "intrinsical point", more valuable. Did not forefathers and foremothers, not enjoy the savoured time, to tell a wholesome story and didn't their audience, savour a story, not rushed? Society wants too much "to get to the point" "and quickly" they have forgotten the meaning and the value of patience, in the learning and the doing.....because "time" in the modern world has become ............"anxiety". With a life filled with anxiety they loose the essence of time and of the essence of "TIMING". Do not cut short your videos, in order to get to the point for others.....let others, see the point in what you have discovered, through your life experience, by filming in your "own timing" and "enjoy" being the creator and storyteller, as you see fit, even if your videos need to be long. Your cabin, is a TESTAMENT OF TIME, and it, in itself, (the process), could not be rushed, to get to the "end result".....and one thing I learnt, about spiritual knowledge/ personal stories, is, you can never, ever.....just get to the point.....or the point, stands to get lost, or glazed over, very, quickly, with time. There is a warmth, and a genuine authenticity, when we engage in the production of any form of story telling, or sharing knowledge, by not, "just getting to the point" to satisfy others. ... The "uniqueness" of a story teller or teacher, survives, the test of time. I think your videos are lovely and can really take one back, into a grounded, state of beingness, thus recognising, quality, in simplicity and thus seeing the beauty and magic of the value of life's, personal lessons on offer.

What a perfect day: making coffee on a fire in your cozy cabin on a rainy day with your pup. I have a percolator too (though I also have a gas stove). It takes longer to make than the machine, but it tastes wonderful. P.S. I would never spend $8 on a cup of coffee!

I would have enjoyed listening to the fire crackle for a few more moments. I've had so many conversations with my now deceased grandmothers about us having all the modern day conveniences, yet they seemed to have had more time. Doesn't make a lot of sense. If a guy uses all granite to make a fireplace like yours can a guy just use refractory mortar for the whole thing? Thanks luv the cabin
@logcabinlifestyle
@logcabinlifestyle Год назад
Thank you. I would say no on the refractory mortar for two reasons. One, refractory mortar needs to be fired to fully set it. The second is that refractory mortar should be very thin so all the stones would need to be cut square and uniform. Like a firebrick
