Interesting flip of dynamics. Nick was calm and collected in the locker room and spitting fire on the sideline. Darko is levelheaded and cool on the sideline and a madman in the locker room. Maybe instead of losing their cool on the court, they can blow off steam in the privacy of their team meetings, and Darko can inject some enthusiasm and energy into them when they come out at the half. No more "Raps on 3" it's FAMILY on 3. The whole philosophy is now about distributing the ball, getting your teammates involved, pumping up the guy who's got the hot hand AND the guys who are finding him open. Lets see how far this momentum carries them forward - unbeaten in the preseason and winning the home opener. It has to be a huge confidence boost and will bring these guys closer together as a unit. Darko's getting them off to a great start!
5:00 Coach had the same energy after his first regular season win as he did in his first preseason game 😂😂 What a legend! This is gonna be a fun season!!
Facts i wasnt expecting that. When fred left everyone was saying whos going be the ne leader ? ... i think the COACH is the new leader lol , i would def go to war for a coach like that
Nah bro . its the reason that they where 30 min long i never watch them . Now on my drive home from toronto traffic i can listen to a nice 10 min video
These are a lot of work and I’m sure there’s going to be a fluctuation of durations for each episode. Stop demanding and be appreciative of what you get can we can just as easily have not gotten it.
This episode was so short that I had to watch it twice to make it seem like a legit episode. The energy is there guys, go get it! Just hope Darko will play Boucher and Thad 🤞
Darko reminds me of Batman. Intelligent, creative, and tough, knows all his friends' and enemies' weaknesses and strengths. Also knows how to utilize his teammates to succeed, and win no matter the circumstances. Fights then goes back to his Bat Cave".
happy to see a few things - 1 darko commanding a team isnt easy especially coming from a different culture - Love seeing GTJ speaking up - and i love the new energy this team has brought - including pre season, this group hasnt lost a game yet - hopefully this continues.
Man Darko even getting me fired up! You can just see the family that is being built with this team, not only in practice or in the locker room, but on the court too. Everybody challenging each other, leaders like pascal and gtj having a voice, love it. Very excited to see what this team can do.
Found out that Flynn had one more year left on the extended 2-year contract. Sucks I know, Nick Nurse may pick him up from GLeague. But you never know what can happen. Darko though....wow!!
Look at the change in attitude though - speaking up in team practices, keeping their heads down in games even when their shooting slipped for a couple of stretches, not getting frustrated when calls or shots aren't going their way, positively skipping back to the locker room at the half and after the home open win. Nick was all business with these guys, and I think Darko's exuberance and excitement is the kind of confidence boost those young guys need coming into their rookie, second or third seasons. Even the veteran players seem to be enjoying themselves by talking it out with the staff and smiling at the goofiness of their head coach. I could see Nick's frustration getting translated over to the players last season, and it was leading to a dead end. You either ditch the team, or you ditch the coaching style. I'll miss the Fisherman's Friend TV plugs and the wild outbursts at the refs, but there's something very refreshing about Darko's demeanor and approach to the Raptors franchise.
