Already own the Nimitz wallet from Michael at Open Sea and absolutely love it. Different form factor but every bit as usable. Mine is 2 color as well, whiskey for the primary color and olive for the secondary. Hands down the most beautiful wallet I have ever seen. Also have a Hopper coin pouch on the way to match, whiskey with green stitching. The Houbei will be my next purchase from Michael but thinking about going with shell cordovan this time. Each one of his offerings is a master piece in my opinion and worth every penny. I think you are going to love your new wallet. Enjoy!
I was so excited that you decided to review an Open Sea wallet. I have 6 of his wallets and love them all for different reasons. My absolute favorite is the Topsider Quickdraw because, for the reason you mentioned plus security, you can carry a card in the back pocket completely concealed. His customer service is terrific and he’s a super nice guy. Totally addicted to his designs and the buttero leather. It patinas beautifully.
These are such great wallets. I have two now, one in English tan Dublin and one of the new reversed wax flesh natural dublin. They swallow my 10 cards no problem, and on the occasions that i get stuck with some cash thats no problem either. I had 12 bills in there the other day and it was no prob at all. Thanks for the great content. Ive now got about a dozen wallets that I'm constantly rotating and it's partially your fault!
I get the whole "Miss that Leather" in my wallet, which is why I picked up that leather Dango. But.....lol I know I sound like a broken record here....I'm still solidly stuck on the STOW and XSTO. Do you carry this in your front or back pocket? Since I ditched the Dad Belt Holster for my phone, it's taken the place of where my wallet used to reside in my back right pocket. And, putting it in my front pocket with its additional width would be the only hold back for me. Still...a Very Beautiful Wallet! Cheers my Friend! Zip~
I’m putting the XSTO away for a bit and carry this. I’ve always been a front carry person. Even with my old leather bifold wallets. But with this you can do either.
I’ve been carrying aluminum, titanium, or carbon fiber wallets constantly for the past few years. I miss the feel of leather! I’m sure I’ll switch back but for now, it’s the Houbei
I have a Kam+ on the way from Open Sea. This one will probably be next on my list. Great video and love the two tone you picked! It should posting really nicely!
Functional and aesthetically good looking with that stiches design, but when it is full and loaded it becomes really unproportional in shape because of the stiches that cover even the back of the wallet, i made my self this design with the same stiches on the side and solved that flaw, my stiches only is only at the edges of the side same look but proportionally shaped even full of cash and cards
What color combo is this? How do you get the wallet to be all one color? Do you choose primary and secondary as same color on their site? Wait, is this two colors?
Great review as always! That is a very striking wallet! Will definitely have to check it out. If you’re looking to check out some more leather, check out Lost Dutchman Leather based in Mesa, Az. The owner, Nate, does great work and he’s a super guy. Be well! 👍
Are you carrying this in front pocket or back? I was having my cards crack in a leather traditional wallet. So I went to a metal wallet but I miss the easy access to cash.
Sorry you're always been slim, I was just after watching a video of 'lets do the dam thing' and your video played next and i thought it was you, I've had a few whiskeys.
