I just got one Yesterday in 2 colors! Whiskey as main and 2nd color is Chestnut, and Havana Cigar Thread... going to be LIT! i still have the original Topsider.. its cool but the cash is a pain and gets frayed n stuff..
Hi Chris, wonderful presentation! Thanks! Just a question. What do you think about putting coins in the inside pocket (for those who don't carry many cards)?
Fabulous evolution of an amazing wallet. I've had Open Sea leather wallets for over 3 years and they're pretty much unbeatable as cash and card holders. The customer service is incredible, especially as they're in Hawaii. Thanks to Brexit, the postage has shot up, but watch out for sales to offset that!
Thanks! Looks like they don't offer that leather color when picking. I'm wanting to get the new Bifold LT and have spent like three hours trying to pick my leather/thread combo. :) Thinking of going with the natural leather for both pieces of leather (I kinda prefer the monotone and think it might be cool to get the natural and watch it patina over time). For the thread, maybe the pear or white or tan? @@ChrisCarries_EDC
Great looking wallet, but I don't think it's enough to make me want to put the Tauruscamp Grain down. So far it's the one to beat for me, it's just so functional and polished
Only thing I don’t like about the grain wallet is the open slot for cash. Just like my cash completely secured (but I’m sure it’s fine for practical purposes). How do you feel about the grain wallets open slot for cash? Any anxiety about it falling out from the side opening?
@@JaeJunBrianLeehonestly it doesn't bother me in the slightest, but I also carried a Loyal Stricklin Johnny for two years with an almost identical cash compartment. I had the same initial apprehension, but that went away as soon as the wallet broke in, the wallet sort of hugs the bills so to speak. Same in this case. Cash isn't going anywhere. I've had 15 bills in it at times, but usually have 5 or less and it's extremely secure.
@@dubester1982 I appreciate your input. I've been dithering back and forth between it and the Open Sea Houbei/Topsider for weeks. Between the two, the TaurusCamp is such a no brainer winnder...other than that open cash slot. But I just might say fuck it and get the T because I just love its design so much. Perhaps what you just said will push me over the edge.
@@JaeJunBrianLee the Houbei is my other favorite wallet, I own two actually, and I also own a topsider! I will probably switch back to one of my Houbeis here and there, but I ended up buying another Grain too. I'm not a fan of the Topsider, I like the organization of the other two personally. You can't go wrong is what I'm saying though!
@@dubester1982 Agree, Houbei over Topsider! But I like the Grain the best. I wonder if TaurusCamp will ever come up with a Grain wallet with a non-open cash pocket? For me, that would be THE single greatest wallet of all time!
How do they compare size wise? The Open Sea website lists the dimensions of the LT as smaller but they looked the same in the video when you held them side by side.
Awesome thank you. I have a LT getting delivered today but the original Topsider looks fantastic also and I’m kind of digging the simplicity of the design. I was worried it would feel significantly bigger in pocket.
I love the look of Mahogany Buttero and Turquoise Pueblo so much that I ordered the exact same wallet on Cyber Monday. So please, when will you do an update? I want to see the patina, and what you think about it after a month. Thanks...
Great review! Unboxings are always great. I have quite a few OSL wallets, but think I may need to add this one to the lineup. Thanks for sharing this! @edc_adam
