I'm starting to wonder if this verse has always been misunderstood...... If you hate something, why would you do it, when God says to serve others with joy?? Was Paul's thorn in his flesh an addiction to something sinful or to something that is good that he used too much or misused?? Overeating maybe?? Drugs?? Alcohol?? Pride?? Talking too much?? He said it helped keep him humble so is that because he always had to ask forgiveness when he did it?? Did someone always tell him whatever it was is wrong?? Or was he just convicted because he knew it was wrong?? Was it an action or an actual thorn or disabled bodily feature or ability?? Sexual addiction?? Sexual addictive thoughts??? Cussing?? Foul language?? Cursing thoughts??
