That was awesome Pat and PJ I've fished out of Pool 6 a hand full of time and got some big girls like that. I'm thinking the Fox here in Green Bay will be ready for open water by St. Pat's day. Thanks for sharing tight lines.
Another fire video 🔥🤙🏻 it’s funny because I was waiting for this to post for awhile I filmed a great video there that day to not that far from ya🙂🔥🐷 my profile pic is a perch from that day we waved to y’all 🤙🏻
We're about to switch over to full on open water mode after a couple more ice shows! I'm sure we'll be chasing walleye all over the place, lakes and rivers!
My favorite fish in the whole world to eat is those YELLOW LAKE PERCH ! If you are keeping some for a fish fry , why on earth would you be letting the ones with all the meat go ??? I just don't understand when you are in a river that has hundreds of thousand of perch in it ? Also, I am curious what the limit is on quantity where you are ? I've fished the Mississippi River where the Black River falls into the mighty river ! You can catch fish there ALL DAY LONG !!!
@@JimBowSlice I totally disagree with your comment ! For 1 : I've had perch from Lake Michigan that exceeded 16 inches, and they tasted exactly the SAME !!! That might work when you compare a 20 pound rainbow/steelhead to a 6 pound fish , but 3-4 inches larger doesn't change the taste of a Yellow Perch not one bit ! I've also caught and ate a 12 walleye from Lake Erie and it tasted just as good as the 3 & 4 pounders ! Maybe not as tender ?
@@johnlukasik8045 i mainly only fish for walleye and perch and to me them over 13" fish have more cartilage and are more likely to have more toxins if they are present in the body of water. I still eat them. But I do throw all walleye over 24" back. I guess it's just personal preference. Like I think the perch on Saginaw bay taste better then lake st Clair perch.
Also......the bigger ones are the most prolific spawners. You keep one of those and you've guaranteed that the thousands of potential new fish to the system have just been removed.
