Worked perfectly on my BMW 325Ti. I didn't even have to remove the number plate light as it was broken . I just removed the bulb. Tested for positive with my multimeter. Connected my 14v 100A charger . Negative to the exhaust tail piece. Positive, using a nail in the one end of my multimeter probe and the other end I touched the positive terminal on the trail light and voila I had power and opened the car by pressing the open button on the fob. Easy peasy. Thanx for the great video.
Hi Thank u so much for this video that help me so much and save me so much cash$ . My M4 parked in garage for 4 days and when I went start the car had no sign of electrical power. I try opening the door with fop and also physicall key and I wouldn’t work for me and I watch so many videos that no near like your and I am so happy that I try the way u explain it . Can you open the boot/trunk in this way? Took out the battery to charge it, and closed the boot/trunk and I have no manual button in the car to open it without power
Would this work on vw Passat 2011 b7 ? Connect 12v to rear number plate light, car battery is disconnected with locked doors then closed bonnet arghhhhhh 😢😢😢😢😢 emergency plastic key doesn’t do anything when turn right or left. Need to find away to get in to open the bonnet & connect the battery again… help
Switch doesn’t carry the whole power to lights, only gives the signal for relay or controller. By feeding power to lights you also give power to that relay or controller rail which usually is connected with many other blocks etc. can’t promise this to work on every car but on most it does
