R62 Shuttle Train via 42nd Street, round trip run between Grand Central and Times Square.
Prior to the R62As, the R62s were in service on the 42nd Street Shuttle since their first years of service in 1987 until 1992. The Shuttle used to run only 3 to 4 car trains until the renovation between 2019 to 2022 was completed and now allows 6 car trains. The middle track where this train is running on is now out of service.
If the R62s continued service on the 42nd Street Shuttle, 2 more cars would be added and the middle seats would be removed in order to increase standing capacity.
