My favorite part of the video was the jp premium packs. I'm a big fan of vintage jp cards. Premium Pack 1, 2, and 4 will always have the same cards. Premium pack 3 and 5 will vary per pack and you can get alternate rarities for each card. Premium Pack 1 and 2 are also in the series 1 layout while 3-5 are in the series 2 layout, which is why they look different. The series 3 layout was adopted later and its variations are what we are used to today.

man I remember those premium packs back in the day... I remember spending $75 on a blue eyes ultimate pack back in the day.. Pulls were trash but I kept that booster wrapper for years. pure Nostalgia seeing those. the dark magician pack was also a whole lotta fun, I remember pulling that Arkana dark magician and absolutely loved the heck out of it.
Looked up the packs before watching the vid because I was interested. Some of them have small card pools (premium pack 4 has 6 cards in set and in pack) but most have more cards in set than in a single pack, though the card pool is still small. And then on some of them there's different rarities you can get like the Ultra Parallel Rare you saw in Premium Pack 5 (Metalmorph). So for example Premium Pack 5 has 9 cards but 18 cards in "Master Set" because they can come in UR or U Parallel R. Overall there isn't really a pattern, each pack is different. The premium packs were very cool, it's interesting to see the differences between OCG and TCG releases.
Chiyomaru sounds like Kiyomaru which is one of the protagonist from Konjiki no Gash Bell (Zatch Bell in the U.S.). Favorite part of the opening was pulling those Armed Dragon Thunders in sequence. That Japanese pack with the Dark Magician Red and Dark Magician Girl, know that was my favorite pack.
I just imagine myself as a kid going to buy these packs with my pocket money, choosing 4 packs and boom, getting all 4 armed dragons in a ROW! Tempted to get a box for that alone haha
Those early premium packs bring back a lot of Forbidden Memories nostalgia. Also I got that same Crush Card from a dept store vending machine as a kid 🤔
The premium packs were the best, i didnt even know those existed and its kinda cool to see how better the holos in japanese back then compare to english version
Got Underworld Goddess from my box. Very happy. Also, Breath of Acclamation is supposed to be a Ritual Spell and not a Normal one so that's technically a misprint card. It's like Counter Counter but should still work fine.
I am surprised the title didn't have error box in it. The whole line up of armed dragon thunders and 3 secrets😱. That was epic. The successive armed dragons was my favourite part

Love the new Armed Dragons, and the old-school Japanese stuff. I collect the really old cards too and they are really cool. Got a fair few promos that came with guidebooks and Japanese Yugioh games such as Garma Sword, Dokuorider, and Skull Guardian...much cheaper than the Tournament Pack versions in English!
One of the BLAV boxes I opened had a starlight Trish, the other had only one secret rare, and here's Ruxin getting three secret rares! This set is such a rollercoaster--gotta get that Pot.
I'd say I like that S-Force Justify the best just because I have goofy rogue deck ideas quite often. The three secret rares aren't that unheard of with new ratios, I've had it happen a couple times already. But I LOVE me some OCG cards, I'll take that PP1 Exodia head off your hands of you like! :)
That is why Premium Pack 1 is expensive, it has Exodia head and Time Wizard as secret, i also think you may have damaged the bottom corner of the Time Wizard while you put in the sleeve lol,
Thats the original exodia head. Its only available in that premium pack. And dont worry. The premium pack 1 rarities are set. The limbs are in volumes 1 thru 4 i believe
To answer your question (wink wink) I loved the vortex opening. I just got back into yugioh and got a pre-release blazing vortex box a week ago not knowing people were hating on the new set. Got some great pulls and loved every second of it. You beat me with the 3 secret rares though.
I was so sure you'd pull a Jinzo, make it your 100th lol. But I was pulling for you pull a Pot of prosperity, or a Link 5, but hey, those LV dragons look so cool. Also, Ultra Rare Frog the Jam?? Frigging Epic. I NEED one now lol. Keep going Rux! Road to 100k here we come!
Really liked the Eldlich the Mad Golden Emperor pull. Though that Armored Dragon LVL 10 card was also sick. Really cool to see you open some Japanese packs. Maybe you could do a Japanese LOB booster box sometime for funzies? Looking forward to the next video Ruxin!
Really love seeing the old card designs, with the large artwork and the atk/def in a little box! I had fake yugioh cards when I was younger in like 2004-06 and they were based off those old cards. So cool
