What a beautiful room and beautiful light. I'd be happy to live in that room. I admire your ambitions, makes me want to live in Minneapolis and hang out at your lab. A lot of work ahead of your but clearly you have the right spirit and strength to accomplish it all.
lots of demand for labs! There are 3 in philly and they are all very busy. I work at one and our space is smaller than your space but we have a fuji c41 minilab and 2 sp-3000s. Our c41 turnaround is 1-3 days and b&w is 1 week max. We do some mail orders but it's mainly all people who drop off in person (and most people never pick up their negatives and our basement storage is frequently overflowing lol)
@@ThePhotoDept we run a lot of film through it and it produces great results. There's a former fuji tech who travels the country fixing these machines and he helps us when needed. I don't think he sells them though. It's sad that most of these machines were sent to the landfill when digital took over but I'm sure theres a few tucked away somewhere waiting to be brought back to life
Would love to do this myself in Australia. But too big of an investment with money I don't have. There's an undersupply of film labs here too IMO so I think it would be feasible.

The website is thephotodeptlab.com We are definitely not on the level of Darkroom Lab, they have a lot of years behind them and a large facility with dip and dunk machines and really nice scanners. I’m still small, it’s just me, everything done by hand.
