This intro really reassured me about the show. I was worried that they were gonna make her instantly perfect from day one, and seeing this go, "Nah, it took her a decade of training and setbacks to get gud" put me in the groove right away. This and LOKI are my two favorite MCU shows.
Yeah, cos I bet most people skipped the intro on their first watch, then were all like 'how is she so good with the bow? Why can she fight with multple people so well? She's a marysue, she haven't earned anything by herself"
I like how they used the word target and integrated into the show in so many ways. The female archer who we can assume is Kate, is seen shooting arrows and nearly all of then miss the mark. At the end, she hits three boards right at the centre simultaneously. Stabbing people with swords also use the idea of target. Along with target signs, metaphorical depictions include the visuals of medals and trophies. Statues represent athleticism, you can think of these as milestones or targets but you can say they represent the athletic characteristics of fighters like Kate and Clint.
you can also see how she was cocky and arrogant at first and then she learned to be patient and humble with her gifts. when she was learning fencing, thought she could dodge it and when when she did not, she became more serious and focused
More like legendary. You can see her entire story in the scene too. How she build herself from a helpless little girl. Into one hell of a warrior. She took every sport to even get a little close to be like hawkeye. And the soundtrack portrays it beautifully. Cute isn’t the word i’d personally use.
I find it interesting that this theme sort of sounds like daredevils opening scroll, mainly towards the ending, could this have been a sneaky nod to kinpins appearance in the show?
