Opening Day at the Texas Renaissance Festival 2023 

Great video it was very entertaining and fun watching you enjoy yourself and walk around at the faire. I live on the East coast so it may be quite some time before I get around to checking out the Texas Ren Faire. One thing that I noticed you had what you referred to as a Sheppard's Pie. I couldn't tell exactly what was in it, but It looked much more like chili to me than Sheppard's Pie as the dish you showed had what looked like varieties of beans. Traditionally the bottom layer of Sheppard's Pie is lamb, (hence the name) onions, celery, corn, carrots, and peas. It is then completely covered in a top layer of mashed potatoes. Cottage Pie is what is commonly and incorrectly sold as Sheppard's Pie in my neck of the woods, which is mostly the same dish but it substitutes the lamb with ground beef.

The weather has been so nice! Hopefully it'll stay like this when I go on the 14th!

The atmosphere would be nicer with Renaissance music.

Hi Sweet Girl... So happy that you got to be there for opening day. I unfortunately didn't get to go to mine this year. Hoping things will have calmed down a bit medically to where I can go and in all honesty... I absolutely forgot about it until it was too late. The whole month of September went by so fast. I was at the faire the same day with my parents and I actually saw us as you walked across the bridge into the garden. I am wearing a green top with a brown skirt! I was standing behind my mom in a blue dress while my dad was getting a picture in his pirate type of garb.
