Hi everyone,
We are so excited to be here at Walt Disney World to experience Tianas Bayou Adventure on opening day 6-28-24 at Magic Kingdom! We Can’t wait to show you all our love for Nola and our love for Disney all brought together. The ride was truly a beautiful love letter to our City of New Orleans and celebrating the legacy of the legendary Leah Chase from Dooky Chase's Restaurant. We are all going on the bayou and to a Mardi Gras Party all together!
The new ride “Tiana's Bayou Adventure is truly a "love letter" to New Orleans.
Disney Imagineers are shared the wonderful detail and touches that ensure the new Tiana's Bayou Adventure carries the soul of New Orleans!
Bayou Thrills Meet Disney Magic.
Embark on a thrilling journey with Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis as they traverse winding waterways to find critter musicians who can jam out and entertain at Tiana’s southern soiree.
This musical adventure crescendos with a 50-foot drop that leads you to the grandest celebration this side of the Mississippi during Mardi Gras season!
Disney is winning fans over to the change and that includes how the ride is intended to match the soul of New Orleans!
The 2009 movie "The Princess and the Frog" is a cartoon starring Tiana, Disney's first Black princess. The story for the ride plotline takes place a year after the film as Tiana is trying to find the right ingredients for her new restaurant and runs into a band of critters and how it’s meant to capture the feel and soul of New Orleans just like the movie did. The movie was also praised for capturing the spirit of New Orleans so no surprise the ride does the same. She was inspired by New Orleans chef Leah Chase. In the movie, Tiana is a server in New Orleans and helps a frog prince turn back into a human. The movie ends with her opening a restaurant.
That includes living up to the memory of Leah Chase, the Queen of Creole Cuisine.
Also we were thrilled to find out New Orleans musicians shine on Tiana's Bayou Adventure soundtrack.

We are so excited for our next visit to Orlando. Cant wait for this adventure. Knowing that this is a love letter to our home town and one of our NOLA treasures, the late great Miss Leah Chase warms my heart. As senior citizens who grew up going to Dookie Chase restaurant when it was the ONLY upscale restaurants for African Americans in NOLA. This is truly an honor for the city of New Orleans, and just another reminder thst there is nothing like NOLA culture, in the world!

Oh my goodness WOW 💛💚💜🐸🐸👑 Just watched this with my 3 New Orleans loving little princesses, and we can’t wait to do this!!! It’s everything I hoped and more; like the whole line up area is epic! I can’t even wait to wait for this ride, listen to the music, and check out all the details. Tiana is my absolute fave and we know what it means to miss New Orleans, and this is just AHHHH-MAZING! Perfect! Honestly mama who stirs the gumbo is probably even more excited for this than even the princesses haha. This is a bit of a TLDR, but I was nervous how I’d feel about Splash being gone. We grew up on that ride, but even more than that, we had a close family friend who absolutely loved it, and no joke, every single time we talked about going to Disney with him, he broke out into the songs from Splash and would basically sing a 15 minute long ride thru lol. He loved it SO much. Anyway, he died a couple years ago during the pandemic. I get misty eyed now every time I hear Laughin’ Place. The idea he is gone, and his favorite place in the world is gone too always chokes me up. But during this video I was just smiling. Because it’s going to feel like carrying his memory to a second line. New Orleans. No place like it❣️
