What we have come to expect from Kenny. Extremely useful techniques, wonderfully explained and easy to understand when taught by Kenny. Already using this method. Simply brilliant!
Great Kenny, thanks ! If i may: If you use the Action "Track: select track under mouse" before an FX# Action, (so packed in a Custom Action), then you even won't have to hoover your mouse to TCP and do mouse click.🙏🏼👊🏼 Warm Regards !
in the case of ctrl +1 etc to open the FX ... ctrl + W will close the window , Mac OSX I've found . edit: doesn't work when you float the window though.
Heads up, in order for this to work as described in this video, you have to make sure "Scope" is set to "Global". (This option was not available back when this video was made)
Can you open/close FX for a named FX on a named track? Ex. Open "Loudness Monitor" on "Master Track", but also, more complex than that. That's why I'm trying to do named FX.
Thank you for that! Is there a way to put on the actual track small buttons with short plug-in names like "EQ, CMP, RV..." and than link them to open the plug-in. Thx
Does anybody know if I can use the shortcuts while not directly using Reaper? Like, let's say I'm using Audacity and I want to use a shortcut while Reaper's on the background, is it possible?
In a live scenario how would you go about switching between different tones in one guitar track for example, I got my rhythm fx chain and I want to switch to my lead fx chain without clicking the same keystroke to by pass my rythm fx chain..and then click another keystroke again to the lead fx chain?
@@PatricioLeija (never tested, but should works) try turning on the "Automatic Record Arm for Selected Tracks". Then bind the keystroke to "Select Next Track" and another keystroke to "Select Previous Track". Edit: I think I misunderstood your question. I didn't read "in one track" at first, making my suggestion above inapplicable. Maybe try making a custom action for that purpose.
Thank you for the video! I was wondering if there is a way of doing something similar to this but instead of opening the FX window, when I hit a shortcut it enable/disable that effect (same as if I mark/unmark the checkbox for that FX). There is no action for Toggle bypass for FX #1, #2, and so on... there is only "Toggle FX bypass for track #1..#2..#3" which disable all FX at once for that track. If someone could help me I'd be glad, thanks!
Did you intalled SWS.extension for Reaper? www.sws-extension.org/ SWS/S&M: Toggle FX 1 bypass for selected tracks (search in action list). You can edit 8fx and more if you edit the SM.ini with the notepad (prefrences/show Reaper ressource pass) Then choose a shortcut. ,)
