This is about the best channel for newer/intermediate players. Your topics are well-prepared and useful, and the questions from your students are great. You definitely deserve more subscribers! I always look forward to a new video from you.

At 22:35 if East should know that South is now void in Spades - he started with 2, West's 3S preempt showed 7, and Dummy had 3, so South started with only 1, which was played under Dummy's A on trick one. Therefore he needs to lead a Club, hoping West has the A so as to finesse South for the K. This prevents South sluffing a club loser from Dummy on his 5th Diamond. Declarer still makes his contract but is denied the overtrick.

Here is a good example of covering an honour with an honour costing the defence taking me off in a small slam: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bReZimwYpcE.html

At approximately the 9:00 minute mark, as Declarer, I would expect West to lead K from KQxxxxx of Spades. If he doesn't, I'd assume East very likely has one of those honors, and therefore West has to have hcps elsewhere to justify bidding his preempt. Adding the HQ or the DJ (or even CQJx) to such a weak S holding still wouldn't be enough for most players to enter the auction, even being non-vul. So I'd be guessing West has CA, and play East's vacancies for the missing red suit honors (drawing the trump first, of course).

a lot of people will open 3 spades with kxxxxxx, xx, xx, xx non-vulnerable. so they might not have any more values. Here is my lesson on pre-empts: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zaXx4UGjAqA.html
