Panic was the “player killer” in Duelist Kingdom arc who used the King of Yamimakai! And had the shananigans with the Castle of Dark Illusion, which had its flotation device destroyed by the Catapult Turtle X Gaia the Dragon Champion combo, then when Yugi’s Swords of Revealing Light ended the castle fell and killed all the monsters trapped by Panic’s Yellow Luster Shield!! Hahaha so many shenanigans in that episode!! 🤣🤣
I played back in the day around 2005-07, and Metal Raiders definitely had some staples. As for my favorite set, I remember cracking soooo many IOC packs when it first dropped.
Time wizard and solemn negating are definitely my favourites in MRD. Lobe seeing them pulled. It's not everyday that you see ruxin desperate to pull the worst card in the set😂
This set is really awesome, all those cards spark nostalgic feelings. That Summoned Skull is one of if not the best looking monsters imo, I even printed it out when I was younger bcs I couldn't afford the actual card.
I love that Time Wizard was so elusive that it even removed itself from Ruxin’s memories! What doesn’t leave the memory, though? The fact that Ruxin loves grande moths.

@@miloscarapic4502 I dont understand the hype for the "new" oldschool cards. They have the new card layout and dont look like the original prints. They are visualy no difference to modern reprints from newer sets. But pepole are willing to pay massive overprice for "LOB" stamp on the card lul...

My favorite has to be the Legend of Blue eyes white dragon since that was the last pack i ever bought when i was a kid, after recently lookin up yu gi oh cards i stumbled across your channel super awesome to see all those memories flood in with each of your pulls!!🙏🏽

I really like summoned skull in MRD, and time wizard. Wish they reprinted those in secret/higher rarity. Those classic arts are nice! they kept a high value too.

dude castle of dark illusions if probably my favourite card in this set, it may be a common with a awful effect but the panik episodes are some of the most iconic episodes of all time
You bought 30 separate packs? Why not just buy a box at that point and be basically guaranteed a secret? Buying a box averages out to a little under $3 a pack.
My favorite MRD card is Thousand Dragon because Joey isy favorite character, and my favorite legacy set is also Metal Raiders, it has the most cards out of all the OG sets.
Thousand Dragon for sure, mainly because how you summon it in the show is vastly different from how you're actually supposed to summon it. Plus, Time Wizard has some pretty funny stories attached to it with my friend group. One of my friends would summon Time Wizard and use its effect, but I don't think he ever successfully used it and ultimately destroyed all of his monsters instead.
Opened a box with my partner yesterday. I pulled thousand dragon and heavy storm, she pulled time wizard, suijin, Sanga, gate guardian, kuriboh and twin headed thunder dragon… Both secrets from one box was insane

Mirror Force was really insane back in the day you can sometimes use it today to catch people off guard and Summoned Skull is still one of the coolest cards in the set
My boy B. Skull Dragon is for sure my fave from this set. I remember as a kid I went crazy trying to find it. Between those two secrets you pulled, usually I'd pick Gate Guardian but, that Thousand Dragon just looks so clean.
Loved when Secret Rares were just collector's cards, nothing too strong. Not much later they started hiding playable meta cards behind the Secret Rare wall and making our life harder.
Metal raiders is arguably the most hype box of all time for me. Summoned skull is probably the chase card. The artwork and concept of the card just radiates early 2000s Yugioh energy
Gate guardian has to be my favourite card in metal raiders, like what is there not to like? Yes it is hard to summon but that bad boy is like a megazord!
Mirror Force and Summoned Skull were the two best cards I pulled back in the day from this set! My favorite legacy set they're re-releasing is IOC though, all day every day.

14:41 made sense.. 'crawling dragon' = crawling dragging as the pulls were slow. Don't judge me I am just here to see a Summoned Skull pulled, my fave card.
Metal Raiders is such a sweet set. My second favorite set right behind Spell Ruler. Gate Guardian and the pieces sell this set for me alone. Mirror Force, Thousand Dragon, and Black Skull Dragon are just bonuses to me lol
Always nice to see a mirror force pulled, since it was the first trap card I ever saw and thought it was busted. Also Black Skull Dragon is a red eyes card. No complaints from me on that.
This is just something I noticed, but when you pulled Change of Heart the Icon in the upper right made the split in the card nearly perfectly line up with the line that defines the corner of your room. 😅
I remember seeing Summoned Skull for the first time and thinking he was the coolest looking monster in Yugi's deck, and the ultra from MRD is so nice compared to the SDY common.
Solemn judgement will always be one of the best cards in this set for me since the first copy I ever got was a 1st ed from metal raiders. Good memories of a long long time ago.
Solemn judgement one of my all time favorite cards from this Era I'm general. Speaks volumes that's it still so relevant and destructive in today's meta game
My favorite legacy set is PSV by far. I still remember being hyped about the set because I bought a magazine (cardmaster) where they had the full set spoiled ahead (with their top10 best cards etc.). As a kid I managed to pull thousand-eyes restrict of a single booster my mom bought for me when we were at the mall. Set takes a special place in my heart because it's connected to the memories.
Since you mentioned gate guardian in the intro, I find it funny that the easiest way to summon it nowadays is actually to just summon it from the deck off the effects of gate guardians combined after your opponent outs it. Yet nobody does that because in an actual gate guardian deck, you would always choose to summon the other fusions instead of your big vanilla beatstick. It's still cool though, and I love it both as a card and as a concept
Always wanted to pull Mirror Force as a kid. Loved it in the anime and always wanted to destroy the whole field on an attack :) By far the best set of all the reprints for sure ♥
One of my favourite cards in this set is Black Skull Dragon! Such a cool design. To be fair out of the 5 sets I love Pharaohs Servant, Jinzo was always so cool.
