I think this theme is full of sadness, the way how it remembers Zero's sacrifice

This song is about a tired heart. A hero that wonders about the reason to fight. I love this cover.

To all those saying X is a weak character emotionally... actually he's the strongest ever. 1 The problem is, not many people know that all of the bosses that X kills were once his comrades. 2 Not only does X have to keep on killing his former allies who are now corrupted and not recoverable but at the same time, he knows he was the first reploid and in a way the root cause of war even beginning since reploids were based off him. 3 Sigma... the enemy keeps coming back and corrupting more around him... its a never ending war. 4 Fought a 100 year war alone against countless Mavericks tirelessly while Zero slept. 5 Has to look at dieing humans and reploids on a daily basis. 6 Has gone through catastrophic events like a space colony crashing which almost annihilated all of humanity and a huge chunk of its population. 7 Is considered a low class but suddenly has to shoulder being the leader of the Maverick Hunters. 8 While Zero didn't die in X5, X thought he did and Zero was his best friend.... the will to carry on without your best friend... the feeling of being completely alone in a devastated world... not at all easy. Now apply the same thing to some other popular characters. Imagine.... 1 Cloud having to kill Tifa, Barret or the others for being corrupted... fighting Sephiroth 100 years alone.... not possible I think. He'd go mad in the end. An actual meteor hitting and wiping out 2/3 of humanity... can Cloud bear to see it? 2 Dragon Balls turn all of Goku's friends into unrecoverable Zombies... and Goku has to kill Krillin, Piccolo, Vegeta... and everyone... all alone... would Goku really remain with that funny look he always has in this case? 3 Sonic having to kill Amy, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Rouge, Cream and all the others.... see Chaos die every day, see countless Corrupted Eggman heads everywhere... all alone... for 100 years... he would lose his sanity. TLDR Don't blame X for taking a break at X7.... he killed 6x8 = 48 of his previous friends and saw many people die. Cloud, Goku, Sonic would have started crying for a longer break had they killed only 1 person they knew... In other words... X's life is the definition of complete madness yet the only blow to his will power is that he sometimes takes a break and rests... but then continues on fighting.

I love this cover! Gets the feel of a devastated world and melancholy.

MegaMan X4 is my favorite X game to play... MegaMan X6 is my favorite X game to listen to

Let me to express my sincere thanks and admiration for such impeccable work, I mean, Megaman X was my first game and your covers are the best I've ever had the fortune to listen, of course, with the passing of the years, I play every game of the Megaman's "x" Saga...to revive all that in such an epic way is priceless, about this particular cover, I consider that it is, perhaps, the best of all Megaman X Saga, it transmits a great variety of emotions, really reflects to perfection the events lived in Megaman X5 and basically the arduous way traveled by X arrived this point in the saga... you certainly did a perfect job emulating that nostalgia and anguish of that moment, all the drama captured perfectly in your composition, Congrats!!

This song and stage always broke my heart. Cuz you have to continue the game after losing Zero. ☹ You have to keep fighting for what's left of the world. It really captures what it feels like to lose someone close to you. Great job on this cover man.

I love how you add to the sad tone of what the track is trying to convey, a sense of hopelessness and hope fighting each other. Superb work man! I've always loved this intro stage to X.

I started to know the Megaman x series only from this game. It is kinda strange, but somehow my cousin gave me disc of Megaman x6 (that time i had original ps1 console). I know that this is not the greatest game, because it was supposed to end at x5 canon. But when i started to play it i really enjoyed this music of the first stage the artwork of characters in talking pictures looked strange to me but only later, i understood that i'am playing japansese anime style game :). You remade a perfect music that desbrices depression sadness and even hopelessness, because x is all by himself back then i thought that falcon and x are a different person :D :D. This music is as powerful as it was before, but with you skills it made it even better. Thanks for reminding me of times where i have enjoyed playing this game. Big like for you.

I think it was missed that you did the overseas cover. The screeching guitar riff of the American version adds a lot. But you did a nice rendition nonetheless. The quieter parts don’t detract, by any means, in fact, they do make the song more somber
