During World War 2, Rudolf Hess was considered Hitler's number 2 and Deputy Fuhrer. But he would fall from grace shockingly and spectacularly after a flight to Scotland that was intended to bring peace talks to Britain. But Hess was a strange individual, and was one inside of Hitler's inner circle that attracted criticism from others such as Hermann Goring, but he was brought to trial and faced potential execution at the Nuremberg trials at the end of the war. Hess was sentenced to life imprisonment, and he is considered the 'Last Nazi,' who was held inside of Spandau Prison where he died at the age of 93.
However following his death, his body was exhumed from his grave a number of times. In 2011 he was exhumed for a final time due to activities and behaviour which was occurring around his grave. His gravestone was broken up, and his remains were cremated and then given to his family who scattered them.

He was right about that! Two front war was a disaster for Germany. Hess carried his secrets to the grave but they will come out someday they always do. They are buried somewhere in the British archives.
@wisecoonie
@wisecoonie 11 дней назад
You didn’t need to be a genius to figure that out. It’s the two fronts that did Germany in 20 years earlier. The Von Schlieffen plan to crush France as soon as possible so as to avoid a two front war, had been devised 20 years before WW1 even started. Just in case. So Hess just aped the current view held by the entire German general staff.

I would like to think that was true but I fear because it involved the Royal Family at the time it will never be allowed to be known. The secret file on Hess held in the British archives has had its release date moved further back so I will never get to know in my own lifetime. But there are a couple clues 1. The royals speak German as their 1st language. 2. Remember the picture of them all boing the Hitler salute in the palace garden

This man secretly flew a solo mission into the UK in the middle of the night to meet with some British contacts he had for peace discussions. Unfortunately the British authorities were not interested in peace and put him in prison. Once he realized he was now liable to be tortured for German war secrets he tried to kill himself by jumping out a window. He was not successful, but sustained many injuries. He pretended to be insane, and ultimately did not divulge German secrets, but did spend the rest of his life in prison. He was in prison from 1941-1987. This is a violation of international law and a war crime considering he was there for peace discussions, But you never hear about it. Historian David Irving stated he thought Rudolf Hess should have been awarded the peace prize for his efforts, and millions of lives could have been saved if Britain had only listened….. instead the British empire was destroyed for Churchills vanity. Was he wrong? As Michael Jackson states, the history books are lies, and the Press is a criminal organization.

A Welsh military doctor used to examine "Hess" whilst he was a prisoner at Spandau prison.Having studied Hess' medical record,many things did not tally,for example,Rudolf Hess was wounded in the chest in 1917.Such an injury would have left an indelible scar, but the person in Spandau prison,did not have a mark or any scar at all.This begs the question why ? Who was this person ?When questioned about the wound,he became very agitated.

My God man, don't you know? Hess was contacted through Vatican backchannels {the Vatican acted in this capacity throughout the war on the behalf of both sides} that certain British royals were interested in seeing what kind of peace deal they could get from Hitler. Hess passed this on to Hitler who gave Hess his approval to make contact with the royals. For three days he was a guest of the Duke at his castle in Scotland. Other British royals were in attendance. Word of this meeting was leaked to Churchill, who became both panicked and enraged. Churchill contacted Roosevelt and told him about a pending coup to topple his government and make peace with the Germans. Roosevelt assured Churchill to hold on just for awhile longer, that the USA would be in the war within six months, and to do whatever he had to do to protect the status quo. Churchill had everyone arrested, and the coup of the royals was averted, with Hess put into a POW camp. The official story has changed several times over the years before they finally settled on this one around 1960. Hess was murdered by the SAS and MI6 when it appeared that the Soviets were warming to the idea of releasing him on humanitarian grounds. He remembered too much. He was murdered to protect the British royals that were involved in the peace overture. How far this went among the royals, only a few know, and they aren't talking. It is interesting that the House of Windsor was once known as the House of Saxe-Coberg and Gotha {German nobility from the days of the Holy Roman Empire}.

I think Hess had some serious dirt and knowledge on some top allies (which ever countries that may be) that all came out through out the war while in captivity, that they never ever wanted out and were willing to jail him for life over it. And they did. Just my 2 cents.
@justonecornetto80
@justonecornetto80 10 дней назад
The dirt was that he knew the depth that American corporations such as Ford, GM Motors, IBM, Dupont and JP Morgan had collaborated with the Nazis in building their war machine knowing full well that it violated the Treaty of Versailles. He also knew the full story about the Duke of Windsor's treason, some of which still hasn't been publicly revealed because it's a state secret for another 20 years.

He was responsible for the enactment of the Nuremberg racial laws, was involved in the planning of the invasion of Poland and knew that the SS planned to carry out mass executions of the Polish intelligentsia. Hess was NOT murdered in prison! Pull your head out! It was 1987, more than 40 years since the end of WW2. Who would have the motive after all that time? He had a long history of mental instability, had already tried to commit suicide at least twice, and was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Supervision was lax after being a relatively well-behaved prisoner for all that time and he had privileges other prison inmates didn't, so its entirely conceivable, even likely, that he took his own life. So, no, he wasn't murdered. Next, you'll be saying Hess was an alien and his body is stored at Area 51. 🙄

He was obviously murdered in prison. The British government didn't want him to talk about his efforts to sign peace with Germany. I'm sure we'll never know the truth. That's also why he got life in prison. When I see what's happening all over the UK in the last few months, people are getting arrested because they don't have the right opinions, and it doesn't surprise me the slightest. People from the UK are getting their reward from Churchill, 80 years later.

Disagree with your premise its a matter of both parliamentary and historical record that Germany and the UK had talks in connection to a negotiated a peace agreement in both 1940 and 1941.... Look up the "War Cabinet crisis" So the British government wanting to keep him from suggesting there where efforts for a peace treaty between the Germans and the UK seem, unlikely, its common knowledge anyway! Doesn't mean that he wasn't killed in prison, doesn't mean perhaps it wasn't the British, but that's not the reason... I actually spoke with someone at the time of his death very close to the aftermath of this, because the rumour was it wasn't Hess at all in there.. he gave me a very odd reply that has always stuck with me when I asked "This is the man who landed in Scotland"

I wrote all of the following as factual knowledge I have learned from many years of studying history and personal reading around as many aspects of the Second World War as possible. Does anyone truly know what any other person is or was thinking? Simple answer is - NO - you never know what another person is thinking. You cannot go inside another persons head to see or hear their thoughts. Has it ever been determined what his motivation was for his flight to Scotland? What is known is he was a true believer of the NSDP cause. There is plenty of evidence that proves this. He was also unrepentant during the Nuremberg war crimes tribunal. It’s easy to allege Hess was murdered but it’s not that simple to back this up with proof. It is known that the western allies considered releasing him but it was the Soviets who declined ever releasing him. Long periods of isolation are well known to result in paranoia and suspicious behaviour in a vulnerable and susceptible person. Hess was very likely one such person.

Borman had little power or sway while Hess was Deputy Fuhrer, so he wouldn’t have been making any “power play” if Hitler was killed early and Hess was set to take over. Regardless of when it happened, all of Borman’s power came from his proximity to Hitler and no one could stand him. Even if Hitler died post-Hess in the 1940s, Borman would be immediately politically castrated and laughed at if he tried to grab power.

The so-called "Strategic Bombing Campaign," during which the Americans and British carpet-bombed entire German cities up until the very last days of the war, was the most extensive war crime in human history. Britain's so-called "morale bombing" precisely meets the definition of terrorism against a civilian population, and George Patton himself condemned what he referred to as the senseless destruction of German cities (in "The Patton Papers").
