Christine, thank you so much for sharing more about yourself and being a Witch. I loved learning more about you, and I love that you cast your intentions into everyday life! This is so lovely.
Awww, I am so glad you finally decided to come out of the Broom closet 💕✨ #bighug it’s part of who we are as spiritual beings & I enjoy making my mundane life magical. My craft is my dressmaking & one day I aspire to write a book to teach others how to incorporate a little magick into their own crafty endeavors. 🙌 but I agree it is hard to comprehend how others will perceive us. 😢 #itcanbescary
Thank you so much for sharing! I too love to use thrifted and found items for my witchy practice. I'm often asked if I have an altar and my reply is my whole house is an altar. LOL! Everything is a magical space to me and everything I do is sacred practice. I'd love to see more videos about your witchy life as you feel called to share 💜
Thank you for your story. It is not my path, but I respect that you are taking the path best for you. No one should be threatened and it reflects badly on anyone who would do that. May your path be safe and beautiful.
Hi thank you so much for sharing! It’s nice to see more vintage witches being open about they’re practice and who they are 🙂 I am an eclectic witch as well but I mainly use tea magic and divination as my daily practice! My family know I am a witch and they are supportive 🙂 I like to support other witches as well! I love your channel 💖
I think it’s amazing that you created a community and atmosphere in which you feel safe to open up and share with us about your beliefs. I was raised Catholic but my family still relies heavily on our Indigenous practices. I love hearing the beliefs others have that would also not be considered “conventional.” It makes me feel a little less alone 😊 thank you for sharing 💕
Blessed be from a hedge witch here in the UK. I was raised as a Wiccan and I continue to use it in my everyday day life. Magic is everywhere in the earth new life is created every day by mother nature and everything that I do I remember that it will be reflected back to us threefold. I don't have many 'magical' items, I use what I find in nature.
Wicca is not witchcraft, it is a newage Religion and the rule of three is a newage thing. To follow the old way you have to get rid of christian inspiered rules, that were made to hold witches under control.
@@JM-tz9ej I do realise that, I don't believe that there is a 'god' in the conventional way of thinking. I forgot to mention that I am a pagan Wiccan (yes that is a thing) and in my 53 years of being on this earth it has never been a problem.
I loved learning more about you :) I'm Catholic but I love hearing about other religions. I never understand when people have a problem with other people's spiritual paths ❤️
You’re so lovely and brave. Thank you for sharing with us. As beings we are so dimensional. It’s nice getting to see another facet of who you are. Love how you include intention in everyday tasks.
I'm so happy to see this video, Paganism has been such a big part of my life since I was 15-16 so it's lovely to hear about someone elses journey. I particularly loved what you said about magic being in the mundane, that makes so much sense to me.
That is so interesting! I would never think that you're a green Witch but honestly, adding the vintage aspect of it makes a lot of sense. So many DYI potions etc. are really something that women used to do more or less. Thank you for sharing! ♥
Thank you for being open about this. I know a young who is searching and has settled on Green Witchery. I'm sure they would appreciate more information.
I was hoping for a video like this someday! I am very interested in intentions and manifesting, and to me trying to see the magic in the mundane is the only way to get through life :) Thank you for the wonderful book recommendations!
Thank you for sharing so openly. I strongly support tolerance of all peace loving peoples, and it’s a shame Witches might feel uncomfortable sharing their beliefs at present. Thank you for stepping out and sharing with us 🥰🥰
Oo I loved your look just clicked on for vintage content then this! Just absolutely amazing!! Please more content about vintage witchcraft even if you start another channel xx
I posted this on fb, but want to add it here too:I just finished watching your video and I enjoyed it very much. I learned a lot and never knew there are different types of witches and how they practice. I also enjoyed how you apply it to putting together your outfits (e.g brooches)! So lovely!
I was so excited to see this video! I had guessed (well, thought you might be) a witch. You just have this air about you. I love that you get to use your magic daily and combine your love of vintage too. I'm a hearth witch and throw in some green here and there and the odd this and that depending on what I need/feel. I'd love for you to feel comfortable enough to share more with us in what you do, like your Solstice bowl...that was so pretty! Many blessings to you, lovely! xXx
Thank you dear for sharing. I found this video so relaxing to watch, as well as informative! I'd love to see some cleaning content, with which herbs etc you tend to use. Very interesting sweetie. Looking divine as usual. Xx
I’ve been trying to figure out some way to do a cleaning routine or cleaning type video. I’m a “clean as you go” kinda gal so I wouldn’t have like an “extreme cleaning” type of video. But I think I could probably do something showing some of my homemade cleaning products.
I ‘m glad you talked about being a witch! I love vintage things so I’ll enjoy watching your videos. Yes combining your craft with vintage info would be fun and interesting. I’m glad I found your channel!
Thank you for talking about this in such an approachable way. I’ve been thinking heavily about starting my craft for a few weeks now, and the timing of this video was perfect! Thank you for the great book recommendations so I can finally get started on my research!
Thank you for being brave and sharing. This does not change my love for your channel and content. I've been a practicing witch (non-Wiccan) since I was a teenager, and I've been vintage for the same amount of time. Thank you for being you.
This was fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing this insight into witchcraft and you. I'm intrigued by so much you discussed and will have to say that I always hoped to have a little bit of witch inside of me! The way you described your intention on doing things from makeup to brewing coffee definitely gives me something to think about as I go through my days. I'm always looking for grounding or peaceful elements given the frenetic world that swirls around me.
I was so excited when you came out ❤❤❤❤❤ I appreciate how difficult it can be to admit it, as a public figure. The people who 'can't' follow you, because of this, are exercising their rights, but it's their loss
Thank you so much for sharing ❤ i would be very much interested on more green witch content. My hubby is eclectic (non-practising though) wicca and I consider myself as vintage herb witch, so I'm very much into hearing more.
I keep a brooch of my grandmother's on my ancestor altar and you are inspiring me to actually wear it. Some green witch resources I've loved lately that you might be interested in are Plant Witchery by Juliet Diaz and the podcast Elder Hour by her and Chelsea Selby
I love that you have a brooch of your grandmother’s and maybe wearing it from time to time would be a great talisman for you. Thanks for the book recommendation, I’ll check it out.
I find this so interesting. I dont really know anything about witchcraft, but some of the points you made seem like they fit into just a better outlook on life that can be incorporated without calling it witchcraft.. my point being, those open-minded enough should be able to see something useful in future videos without labeling themselves as a witch if they dont want to. Doing things with intention and manifestation, and just giving purpose to things and yourself.. can help get people through the day and find joy in the mundane... the world needs more of it. Anyway, I'd love to know more and see more from time to time. I know it has to be hard to open yourself up to "the trolls," but dont take them to heart. This life is your journey.
Absolutely love this!!! I came here from your ig page - would definitely be interested in any further videos you make on this subject. (And thanks for the tip re the Green Witch channel also :-)
Oh MY God, you are speaking to my journey. I was raised Christian - a traditional Christian heritage but my parents were also more worldly in their approach to spiritualism which allowed me to seek spiritual solace and joy in nature and creativity which includes the time I spend in the kitchen and the magic of art and creativity. I have never codified or ritualized my spiritual rituals etc, but it is only recently that I discovered that the definition of being a witch is not - or should not be framed by 'old' superstitious narratives. I read a lot of witchery books on different types of witch practices and I never felt I fitted into one or the other and your idea of the Eclectic Witch with an emphasis of a more naturalist approach that works within the kitchen, garden, home and hearth. Oh my, thank you for sharing this. it helps me continue to qualify my journey as a witch of the light. Thank you so much.
Hi Christine, thank you so much for sharing this with us, I had actually hoped that you would one day! I find this subject so interesting and would love more content like this in the future if you feel up for sharing more with us. Maybe about how to use Tarot, or how you use herbs... The books all look very interesting, I think I will buy a few of them myself. Loved it! ❤
I’m so thrilled you are sharing more about this!!! If you feel comfortable doing more content like this, I’m here for it! But I respect your privacy. Sadly, ignorance is a plague.
I've always felt a strong connection to nature, so paganism is something that resonates with me. I fully respect your religious beliefs. I have an amulet I got from a witch on Etsy that I wear a lot, as it's supposed to protect the wearer from drama and bad luck. I hang it from a tree limb during the full moon so it gets "recharged", so to speak. I have trauma, so it helps a lot to feel more protected and in control. Whether it's just a mental attitude thing or real magic, who cares! It helps. I'm glad you were brave enough to talk about it.
Fellow vintage witch here! Glad to know there are more of us. I also love thrifting items to use in my practice (as well as vintage Halloween decor). Love this & all your videos. I also follow these witchy folks on RU-vid that y'all may also be interested in: The Witch's Cookery - she's a kitchen witch from Germany & she is an absolute delight; Alwyn Oak - she is British & is wonderfully whimsical (I swear she may be one of the fae); & Hearthwitch - she is also British & is a wealth of information on British folklore & the practice.
It's always nice to unexpectedly find a fellow witch. 😊 I adore these publications by Maia Toll, I've been eyeing them for some time, but can't decide on edition, cause now there are three of each title. 😆 I need to finally decide and get them. 😊 I wonder what other decks do you have and use.
Thank you for sharing more about yourself. Yes you are right there are many more of us than you realize. I'm a Tarot Reader and teacher I definitely work Intention. I'm more of a Moon Witch and and just love my Vintage Fashion.❤
It's not easy coming out. I've been one since the late 70's and even with the more tolerant times, it's not always an easy thing to tell people. And yes, even pagans/witches can be conservative in many ways. The vintage lifestyle, imo, is conservative in the true sense of the word. We conserve the traditions as well as make new ones.
First of all, I want to commend you for taking such a bold step. It's often so hard coming out of the broom closet. I'm more of a Pagan rather than simply a witch. (As if there's anything "simple" about being a witch.) I consider myself an eclectic Pagan. I don't say anything about being pagan IRL because I just don't want to deal with the hassle, especially with the more devout Christians. I like to show them who I am before coming out and saying anything. That said, I will not deny that I'm a Pagan when asked outright. And usually that question comes after long acquaintance. Blessed Be!
Omg I knew it ❤ I too am a witch and truly feel so free when I'm able to be open about it. So proud of you for coming on sharing your craft ❤️ love this so so much 💖
I also love vintage and witchcraft! I would totally watch more witchy content from you. I wish there wasn’t such a stigma around being a witch; it’s a practice of being mindful and intentional of what you do and honing your energy (simply put), and unfortunately most people hear witch and ignorantly think it is a negative thing. Also, what lipstick are you wearing? It is absolutely stunning on you.
Thank you for your video; I loved hearing about your practice and it is so encouraging to me. I am a witch who has always struggled to find balance - my practice has been too much "all or nothing", and like you I found the grander undertakings exhausting. You have inspired me to revive my own practice in a more sustainable way. I admire your courage in sharing this part of your life, and completely understand how daunting that is. I see spirits from time to time, and sharing that with people who even look askance at my being a cat lady is so fraught. I'd love to hear more about your practice and your thoughts on spiritual matters!
Thank you for sharing with us. This is who you are and makes you you. I never knew any of this and so glad you shared this knowledge. I use alot of this thinking but did not connect it with magic. I am going to look at my choices and ideas with new insight.
If the activities you mentioned are considered to be witchcraft, then I am a witch. I was just about to ask for your book recommendations when you began sharing the books, lol. ❤
Hmmm…hearth witchery. Interesting- I know what my next web search will be! I used to be a church lady, but I have moved away from the church as I realized the Christian metaphor no longer fit my feelings about the Universe. I just spend most of my time being thankful for the little things. And to say thank you out loud through out the day, such as thanking my keys for letting them to be found. ;~). I suppose my belief falls somewhere within the animism spectrum. It makes me happy. While not a spell caster by any means, I do understand the power of wearing the jewelry of women who have gone on before me. Both things from my family, and items that have been thrifted. I just feel like I’m carrying some of their strength and beauty forward, if that makes sense.
Thank you for this. I find your videos are so informative. I have often gravitatd to witchcraft but find it a bit overwhelming to find a 'place' to be. I will bechecking out your recommendations. As far as more content, I love seasonal changes and would definitely like to hear abou welcoming in each new season. xx
