I think this is the hardest I’ve ever cried watching a video on here, probably because it’s the most I’ve ever related to one. I also used to use food to cope and I couldn’t stop eating. I used to get so upset with myself because it was like I was obsessed with food. I wasn’t in control of my body. I started reading up about the gut and learned more how it works and I thank God for that because ever since I’ve started making sure I eat enough fiber every day and drink enough water. Gaining weight and watching my face get bigger was the most depressing thing ever. I’ve been in the gym like crazy and I completely cut fast food and bs from my diet and I’ve been so happy lately. It’s truly the best feeling to take care of yourself and reel yourself back after being low for so long and I’m so happy that you’ve reached that place. As far as the pills, I am SO glad you’re still here with us, that’s the craziest shit ever. I wish you could sue!!!

GIRL...18 POUNDS IS AMAZING!!! Look up what 5, 10, 20 pounds of fat looks like and say it’s not much. You’re doing AMAZING! If you could hear my cheers and claps for you! You are so beautiful and I’m so happy that you have found the strength within yourself to lose this weight on your own. Your willpower is awesome. Please share your meals and exercises. Diet pills are pretty much all dangerous. I work at a pharmacy that provides medications for people who messed up their bodies from Phen-Fen. I’ve only lost 3 lbs so far but at least I’m headed in the right direction. WE GOT THIS. You are beautiful inside and out. Usually people who gain weight easily are hormonally sensitive. You should get your thyroid checked to make sure you are eating right for your body type. Your insulin may be the root cause of your fluctuating weight. I am built like you so I'm pretty sure that you will have to go low carb to see consistent weight loss. Exercise is only 15-20 percent of weight loss success.... but bodies are truly made in the kitchen and what you put in your shopping cart. I've been doing KETO for the last six months and i'm down 30lbs. I can now take a full body picture without feeling hella insecure. Changing your tastebuds will honestly be your biggest challenge because in this skinny minnie culture of INFLUENCERS it seems like everyone and their mama on the GRAM can eat burgers, fries, doughnuts & pizza while being stick thin...THANK YOU FOR BEING VULNERABLE.

I swear this video touched me so much. I’m going through the exact same thing right now. I’ve gained so much weight within the past year & I’ve never experienced depression until now. I’ve never weighed over 160 in my life & last year I reached 204 which I never thought could even happen. Til this day, I still haven’t gotten back to 160 due to lack of consistency & self discipline. This weight gain has been holding me back from doing so many things that I want to do. I don’t want to go out, I don’t even want to be seen by anyone. I don’t want to film RU-vid videos which I really want to do as well as post pictures on IG. I feel like you’re my “spiritual animal.” 😩 WE GOT THIS THOUGH! 💪🏾

I have a story to tell you....I was living in downtown LA a few years ago and I was a member at the Gold's Gym down there. I decided after the gym to stop in the MAC store. I started to stroll in and, GIIRRRRRRL, the second I saw you in there I straight up stopped in my tracks and walked right back out. Why? Because I recognized you and you were even more gorgeous in person! I couldn't go in there having just come from the gym because I was scared of what you would think of me. So, while you're worried about your own appearance, know that everyone else is, too. And you are absolutely fearfully and wonderfully made. I'm so thankful for you and this video. Thank God for you! And thank the Lord those diet pills didn't end your life because there is so much more that God has in store for you. I have been blessed by this video. THANK YOU!

This is from someone who was bulimic from the time I was 16 to the time I was 29. In and out of treatment and now 3 years in recovery. It is worth it. You're doing a great job. I gained 40 pounds in the last 9-12 months from bingeing without purging and now I'm eating well and exercising and I'm down 6 pounds in a few weeks. It's not much but it's the first time in my whole life that I've done it the right way. That matters. And this video is something you should be so proud of because you're showing others why it does.

First of all, that big eyeliner looks fabulous on you!!! No, but all jokes aside, congrats on your weight loss and your new journey to do it in a healthy way. I know exactly how you feel about gaining the weight because I thought and felt the same way. Unfortunately, I'm still in that place. And I'm finding it extremely difficult to dig myself out. I totally relate to everything you've said in this video. I recently started considering diet pills. Funny how God works, huh? Good luck to you on your journey and I feel inspired after watching your video. Thanks for sharing.

Girl I feel you.. we can do this together! My weight was juggling ever since I was 16 I was 195lbs I’m just 5.5 and bottom heavy. My whole life I heard shit like “just eat less” “go to the gym” “you are fat and ugly” I lost weight and was on 165lbs and I felt super healthy. Now 2 years ago I married, moved from Germany to California, I have nothing to do I was/am homesick, and lonely because I still haven’t met any friends. I’m back with 180lbs.. it’s a never ending fight especially with a damn depression and emetophobia. But I’ll include you in my prayers❤️ we can fight this through.

When I was 11 my mother overdosed on diet pills in front of me and my siblings (they were 2 and 5), her heart stopped and I had to do cpr on her. She was purple. It traumatized me for life. When I was 15 I lost over 10kg taking diet pills, when I stopped them, I gained 20kg, they ruined my menthal health to the point of hallucinating and severe incapacitating depression. As an adult I struggled with my weight, but january 2017 I became vegetarian and started eating clean, so far I lost almost 30kg and I still have some to lose, but I've never been happier and healthier. I've had my ups and downs but I never gave up. I am sure U can do this too. ❤

Hey Irishcel. I don't comment often on social media but this video hit very close to home so here is my long story. After an abusive childhood and major depression even after getting into my dream course of study, I ballooned to 105 kilograms (230lb) from 2016-2017. It was such a low point and I too isolated myself, never went to any special social events associated with my degree and avoided going out with friends. I would overeat to numb myself - I'd eat until I was full and then eat more to numb the pain I felt from being full to the point of being sick; all my negative emotions translated into eating. I felt ugly, I looked horrible from a health perspective and this made my mental health worse and worse. I needed some control in my life and I decided to start with my health. I started on December 14th 2017 and since then I have lost 25kg (55lb) which has now made me so proud. But one thing I was missing between then and now was God. My family issues continued to the point that despite my weight loss I hit my lowest mood. I was being used as a scapegoat for a particular family member's shortcomings and I just felt like a failure in every other aspect of my life. I kept going like this for a few months and I would ignore every other important area of my life to focus on losing weight as it was the only thing I felt like I could control. I stopped studying, went through the motions of going to uni, and I lost all passion for my dream degree. This low point was around April of this year. My mental health became worse and worse, my weight loss hit a plateau and every little thing that went slightly awry at uni would put me in a terribly low mood. It got to the point where I almost jumped the safety barriers at a train station to throw myself in front of a train after a particularly draining day of uni. The fear of where I would go after death stopped me. I had a car accident a couple weeks later and this plus a very unsympathetic family drew me further down and I kept looking at ways and times to jump off a bridge or other ways to end my life. I cried in my room in secret for days and this is when I had my own personal encounter with God. He made me realise that He had a plan for me and that I was not put on this earth for nothing - we are all put on this earth to do something great and whether we think it's small or large, it always matters. He reminded me that I focused on everything but Him and the blessings that He gave me despite my bad situations and circumstances. He made me realise that no amount of physical change was going to change my mentality and my spirit. I personally believe this gave a doorway to the enemy to enter my life to try and cut it short - from the depression to the car accident and eventually the suicidality. This was a wake up call that to kill myself at 23 years old would prevent me from becoming the great woman I am supposed to be and I was not going to waste all the opportunities in front of me. I still have my ups and downs but my mentality and spirit has changed so much to match the physical changes I've worked so hard for. I've brought myself back to praying and keeping the Word and God close by. My family situation has not changed but my strength and resilience has changed and I have a renewed perspective of life. I agree with you, the hardships build us into the beautiful and amazing individuals we are meant to be. It's not easy, but to make it through matures us in such valuable ways. From the health side of things I started strictly calorie counting with no junk food because I was scared of binging but now I've changed my mentality to a lifestyle balance. I still enjoy treats but keep it within my calorie allowance. I don't feel restricted anymore and I am back to losing weight and I'm at a point where I have a much healthier relationship with food and with myself. I can truly say I am proud of myself and I don't have an unhealthy craving for validation from my family or friends (or food). Your story brought a tear to my eyes and I'm proud of you too even though we don't know each other. I don't know if my story will impact anyone but life is a journey, it's rarely ever easy and things will find a way to go wrong sometimes. But people find strength in many things, for me it's my Christian faith, and these strengths will carry us through the toughest times. Don't let go of those strengths and don't forget them. Whether or not people believe in God, I believe we are all meant to make a difference in some way. We are all beautiful, amazing and talented individuals in our own ways, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Prayers to you on your weightloss journey. I was addicted to phentermine which is a diet pill and it made me infertile and made me gain so much weight I got to 260lbs, after my sister passed. I lost a part of me and I commend you for opening up and getting so real, so many women will appreciate this video, it's more common than you may think.

I don't typically comment on channels but I am so in love with your transparency and vulnerability in this video. I've followed your channel for a few years now and I must say I really appreciated you sharing. I'm struggle with my weight and went through the shying away from social events and even social media because I didn't want to show my full body. I remember when I started to get "serious" about my diet and habits and the weight fluctuations began. I honestly believe that the only reason I refused to try pills or weight loss supplements is because I know my family's addition to drugs and alcohol (which I've compared my addiction to sugar to), I refused to allow myself to get caught up in it all. And like you, once I crossed that 200lb threshold I was done!!! Erasing a habitual unhealthy lifestyle is difficult to replace, but it can be done one day, one step at a time. Every milestone is worth celebrating and it is always a big deal. The moment I learned to love myself at 200lbs or 150lbs, I was able to start the journey to truly treat my body as a temple. I recently celebrated the milestone of working out at least 4 days a week for 3 weeks in a row... consistency! So... congratulations queen and thank you so much for sharing your story with us. I will be praying for you and know that if you have a set back, you can count on your RU-vid familia for support. Love you beautiful!

Hey girl, i am a recovering addict. I have 3 years sober. When i was in my addiction i was super super skinny bc i abused meth and opiates. When i got clean i started eating and i gaoned like 80lbs. Its been so so hard for me. When i was a teenager i used stimulants to keep my weight down, so now that i am clean i have no stimulants and the weight just piled on. I statted working tje 12 steps with my sponsor, that has helped me so much. Im 221 lbs. I have never been this big. Now with 3 yrs clean i am starting to focus on my weight and eating healthy. Its all about balance for me. My mental health also has a big part in it. I love u sis. U can do this. We can all do this...

Thanks for sharing your story. I can’t even handle those fat loss pills that they sell at the vitamin store cuz they always make me hella light headed, guess it’s too much caffeine in them so my mouth dropped when you said the doctor told you yours had meth in them. So glad you were able to come out on top and fight the addiction. I too have the same problem with over eating cuz grl food is LIFE and I’m still struggling with these damn 70lbs I gained during pregnancy. I lose the weight then stop working out and eat all kinds of pizzas & cakes & chips flat myself for a month and gain weight back smh but been able to keep 60lbs off so I’m working on losing those last 10lbs again. Excited to see your weight loss journey videos! Check-ins, workouts, & meal plans are all great ideas or even daily blogs on those days you’re feeling low and feel like eating a cake, talking through the camera might help you reconsider. Congrats on losing 18lbs so far! You got this chica! We both do and everyone else on a journey! Watching this video while I do my morning cardio as we speak 🏃🏾‍♀️ lol

I'm so proud of you and I advise you to get a SMART scale. One that will tell you your body fat and BMI. I still have 59 Lbs to lose, I gained 72 while I was pregnant. Yes, 72 and I have lost 13 so far! I stopped paying so much attention to weight though, and started to look at my body fat. I also take picture of my progress, because the scale hardly moves but my progress pictures are mindblowing and I see the fat going down and the muscle gain. I binge ate while I was pregnant and then found out I had Gestational diabetes! I was in the military, worked out twice a day, I was fit! I blew up. I'm embarrassed. Nothing fit! And after I had my daughter I refused to really eat and dropped 20 Lbs. Then I would binge eat at night and make excuses because I am breastfeeding and gained most of it back. We are in this journey together and I look forward to seeing you grow mentally and physically. Thank you for sharing your thoughts your story and your journey. ❤🤗xoxo

During my divorce two years ago I lost 30 pounds but but the healthy way. It was through stress and anxiety. I’ve gained some back now that I’m in a happier place in life but know I need to make healthy eating choices and stay active.

Oh girl, I'm so proud of you! I personally feel like WOC aren't allowed to have eating disorders and we feel shame when admitting to mental health issues. From my experience, it was so difficult to get care because the Nigerian and black community often didn't take mental health problems seriously especially when it came to eating disorders. The first time I ever spoke to a WOC about an eating disorder I felt so so so supported and loved and understood. I'M SO PROUD OF YOU! You're amazing and worthy and beautiful and you've done something monumental with this video.

I do not have a healthy relationship with food, and I am trying to live a life free of substances. My eating disorder is similiar to what you are talking about. Trying to learn to love myself which I have never done. Sometimes I just don't know where to start, but I do know where it is ends if I go back. It's funny causing looking at you I think how could you possibly be hard on yourself. Cause to me you are so beautiful and flawless. We really are our own worse critics aren't we? There’s a beauty that comes with baring your soul but there’s a healing that comes with it. This video is proof that you’ve healed in your journey. 18 lbs is a great milestone and to achieve it without harsh diet pills has to be so fulfilling. Healthy eating is a commitment and a lifestyle that Will take time but you are well on your way. It is easy for us to follow you and to bask in your beauty and be envious of what we perceive to be perfection. It’s very refreshing and a constant reminder that we look at human beings and not gods when one shares what makes them feel insecure. Thank you for sharing your story even if it was very hard to do and thank you for possibly saving someone’s life as they suffer in silence. You have reminded them they are not alone and someone they admire most has struggled but there is hope for great change. 😘

Thank you for this video. I also have a very unhealthy relationship with food. I’ve been as high as 300 lbs before and totally wrecked my body. I say that I am one big stretch mark. Whenever I do lose weight, I always get depressed because no matter how much weight I lose I am stuck with the stretch marks forever. No short sleeved shirts, no bathing suits, no shorts. People always ask my why I’m always so clothed even when it’s 100 degrees outside. They have no idea. It’s so depressing.

Something that I saw a few months ago that is really encouraging to me, and I hope it can be to you: the way that you look is the least interesting thing about you. I have veins all over my legs left over after losing weight and scars all over my thighs and hips, and girl it’s hard. I still struggle sometimes (especially recently as it’s been three digit temps here in TX, so long pants are so uncomfortable) but I know and believe in my heart that I deserve to wear the clothes that make me feel comfortable and feel good (everyone does!!) and in reality, most people are only concerned about themselves. I hope you can start to think more positively about your scars because they don’t define your worth or take away from your beauty. It’s a process, but I wish you the best 💗

ChrissyXtina Beauty the pills aren’t actually laced with Meth. The pills contain amphetamine (as does adderall and medications for narcolepsy). When tested they will give you a positive for meth, which also contains amphetamines.

They aren’t “meth laced”, amphetamines are used as appetite suppressants in the medical field that’s why they were in the diet pills.
