Please Ria don't let them tell you it's depression or anxiety! They always say stupid things like that! Perimenopause is a real problem that doctors ignore! Be your one advocate ❤

Oh no hun I'm so sorry you are going through this. I have suffered with bad health for years, not menapause as im only 34 but plenty of other things and getting help nowadays seems impossible! To even speak to a Dr is a miracle you have to get through the guard dog receptionists first! If I had any advice I would be more than happy to help but my advice would probably get you thrown out of the surgery as I tend to lose my temper ha ha. I really hope you get the help u want and deserve on 24th. I did think you had seemed quite down lately on and off in your videos. When you watch someone every other day you can tell. I think you're wonderful as do all your other followers we won't go anywhere u need to concentrate on yourself and get yourself well again xxxx

So sorry, been there, done that. I had to wait 9 months to see a gynae whilst bleeding all of that time, had aches and pains all the time, low moods where I would stay in bed all weekend. I was lucky if I got 2 hours sleep a night! I remember sitting on the edge of the bed so many mornings crying because I didn't know how I was going to shower and get myself to work I felt so exhausted and awful. When I FINALLY got to see the consultant he put me on HRT patches and within a week I had I'd improved ! after a couple of weeks I was sleeping 5 hours a night ( not great but better than it was and I could cope) Within 4 weeks I was like a new woman, loads of energy, no aches or pains, no night sweats, no mood swings and the bleeding had stopped. I was on them for 10 years and would never have come off them but I had breakthrough bleeding so had to. I begged them not to take me off them but they did. By then I was 52 and periods then stopped thank God. Mood swings were back and insomnia, but not as bad as before and taking 1000mgs of Starflower oil, helped a lot. My recommendatio n ? - stick to your guns and INSIST on HRT we should not be made to suffer just because some teaching manual says 42 or whatever is TOO YOUNG! IF WE HAVE THE BLOODY SYMPTOMS WE NEED THE CURE!!!! And when you do get on them , if they suit you - STAY ON THEM , they will ward off so many effects of lack of oestrogen. Skin, bladder, prolapses, insomnia, brain fog to name but a few! Good luck my lovely, love and hugs from Wales ❤

I have a telephone appointment booked for next week because I am having all the symptoms and same as you have tried supplements but I would say the worst part for me is the low mood and the feeling of having no hope or joy it's awful and then I saw a video on RU-vid of a woman on This Morning that I urge you to watch if you have not seen it but she was sectioned because she became suicidal and they were treating her for a mental health issue when really all she needed was HRT and things had to get really bad for the poor woman before anyone questioned it but when they finally took notice and gave her HRT she was transformed. I sat up and took notice because she reminded me of myself and i do not want to become that person it sounds awful! Its a disgrace why we have to fight like this to be heard but I am so ready for the fight because the NHS website even states that you do not need tests to go on HRT if you have the symptoms. Keep going Ria and thank you for sharing, it's so important to talk and get these things out there. X

Aww Ria you poor love ❤️...I do hope you are able to get HRT to help you feel better. I'm struggling at the moment with various perimenopause symptoms too. I'm scared by it all and I've got endometriosis, 2 small fibroids and a strong family history of breast cancer so I doubt I will be able to have it and to be honest after seeing my mum take HRT for years and then get aggressive breast cancer (don't know if that was the cause though) I'm really fearful of it but I'm struggling too 😢. I think it helps with some symptoms but can give you others so I don't think it's a magic pill unfortunately. I'm seeing my gynaecologist in August so we'll see. To be honest I'm just looking forward to our holiday in September and I find something every day even if it's a walk with my husband and pup or a cup of tea or looking at my flowers in the garden to help me feel a bit better..it sounds silly but it helps me a bit. I have terrible period cramps right now but no period for over a month and I get feelings like you described can't be bothered, feel irritable or crying the next or not sleeping well...its awful Keep us updated and sending you hugs ❤️

I’ve been on hrt for about 3 months, my doctor was on it straight away when I told her my symptoms I don’t have many but the few I was having were effecting me badly. They didn’t do a hormone test. Also if you do go on hrt I’d recommend getting a hrt certificate which will cover your prescription for a year and it’s an initial payment, don’t let them Thob you off you know your own body and when somethings a miss, I really hope you get this sorted ria and that you will feel better, it’s no joke I know ❤

Just reading a lot of the comments my doctor and it was all over the TV that HRT increases the risk of breast cancer and I looked into so much in-depth research on it and apparently it doesn’t increase the risk. One in seven women in their lifetime will develop breast cancer regardless apparently that’s his stats but the professionals will keep throwing that at you all the time. Apparently the HRT they use these days although it’s synthetic it’s still made from natural ingredients apparently I have a history of breast cancer in my family and apparently I can still take the HRT but I was too scared to be honest because I kept hearing, and if you do the research you can start menopause from early 30s on every woman’s body. Some women suffer some women don’t poor mums and Nans who went through all of these and hardly anybody probably knew about it and they must’ve suffered terrible it’s only now people are starting to be open and talking about it. Also just so you know apparently there’s a new one off prescription fee I think it’s £25 for the whole year and it covers the whole of your HRT for that time. If you pay for your prescriptions I didn’t know that until somebody mentioned it to me just so you ladies know as well I hope this helps. X

I feel for you Ria, its a very difficult time for us ladies x I started HRT last year at 51, I made an appt with a menopause specialist lady dr in our area as I knew my own male dr would be difficult to get HRT from - hes not the best at alll !! Anyway after a 4 month wait I met with the lovely lady dr, had an hour appt, she examined me from head to toe, had a good chat about my symptoms etc and preescribed the HRT, It did take a bit of time to kick in but I'm so much happier now , I still have anxious days and tired days but nothing like I was experiencing, looking back I left it too long to go on HRT as I was probably peri for 2 or 3 years beforehand trying supplements etc that didn't work, you will have to push for HRT by the sounds of it, which is awful but if it works and you get it its well worth it, take care RIa xx

Your not to young women start perimenopause early 40s and. Younger. Its absolutely disgusting that they aren't giving it to you. It dosnt just affect you physically it affects you mentally. Please dont stop pushing for it. I know how hard it is, its life changing. Also explaine to the doctor that when you're going through the perimenopause by not getting treatment you run the risk of getting osteoporosis and heart conditions. If you they refuse after that make a formal complaint.
