This just came at the right time! As a student, i've started earning some money for the first time this year and even though that's great, i often find myself obsessing with numbers and wanting to grind as much as i can to reach the goals i keep setting for myself. Its like finally getting your crush to date you, its new and exciting but you're so afraid to lose them. lol thanks for the reminder that money really is just a tool and a greater number in my account would not necessarily equal greater happiness.

Hey Christina!! Chad & Tori are in A LOT of debt - pitching all the businesses they seek out to SELL to you over RU-vid and instagram IS their business - they throw in some christian talk but their main goal is to make money to live large! Chad and Tori just leased or financed a Land Rover Discovery an expensive SUV, they have approx 600-750K in home debt and most likely appliance debt and furniture debt. Almost everything they have is debt! If you want advise on finances read the bible, don't get into debt. Proverbs 22:7 "The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender." Romans 13:8 "Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law." Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money." - Just to be clear "the borrower is slave to the lender" means you are a slave when you are in debt, a SLAVE. In this case Matthew explains again that you cannot serve to masters, IF YOU ARE A SLAVE TO MONEY (LENDER) YOU CANNOT SERVE GOD. You owe earthy people because you are living above what you can own. Chad has a dream of living big and so he as the bible explains has made himself a slave to the bank/lenders and thus now needs to sell people anything He can on RU-vid even if it doesn't glorify God to pay his debts. When they take money from businesses to advertise they are not only doing business with them they are influencing and promoting them to people under the guise of giving "godly advise" God is not mocked. Their actions will be exposed by a righteous God who demands that His children live and act righteously. Pray for them. They are headed down a path that leads to pain. I wanted to respond to this comment that was left on here. I'm not sure if you guys deleted this comment... In my opinion I think it should have not been deleted if that was the case. I think is it wise to have other brothers and sisters be there for one another to help us to discern the the will on God and how He wants us to live. Of course we all struggle with sin, no one is perfect I get that. However, I don't think you should feel the need to delete someone's comment that was left out of love for you. Maybe you don't want negative comments? I'm not sure. But I think its just a disccusion that could and should be had espcially if we are christians and we are called to talk about these things. As for the finacial debt I understand, and I hope that you both will come to find that God is pleased with you and that you both would find a way to pay off your debt. Debt to the world is also debt to God. I personally struggle with finaces and wanting nice things too. I understand completely. I would say that as a viewer it does appear worldly and not humble when you're a youtuber. You're being watched because you are an influencer and not everyone on the internet will get to see the full story. Just know that you are being judged always as a christian and God will hold you accountable for the things you do. So from a glance it does appear as what the person commented above. But as a sister in Christ, I hope that you are encouraged and not discouraged when others post responses that could potentially make you appear "less christian". I understand both sides. The truth is that only true satisfaction is found in Christ and I hope you both seek that and not use youtube and instagram for your own means. Although that may be the only way that you both are making a living. And honestly when it comes to fellowship and serving God we should be doing it freely knowing He sent His son Jesus to died for us freely out of love, but again I understand you both need to make a living. I hope you both find clairty and peace in the midst of this and not feel consumed by the american dream. Thanks Chad and Tori! Love you.

Good video. Money can be evil at times, it just depends on how it is used, and what it is being spent on. For example, if a person uses their money to buy their way out of illegal situations, or use their money and influence to intimidate or harm people, or as a way to treat people like crap, then that I would consider to be evil. Yet using money for good, like charity, or building a home, or paying for an education, that would be using money for good. Thank you for making this video and shedding light on the different aspects of money since it is important for people to make wise choices when it comes to finances. I dont know anything about christianity and i am starting to know a little bit about it from this videos and i cant believe i am learning like a 1000% more than i have learnt in my whole life from a few videos.
i am a clergyman in UK who came to my present diocese on full Stipend in 2008 alongside my police chaplain role. My Chaplain post was made redundant in 2012. The bishop said I could remain in the parish but the diocese would half my stipend ( pay ) ( we lost £11.000 of our income overnight ) and my pension because they lost the police income. My wife and I prayed about it and felt God tell us in our spirits to remain in our present parish and he would take care of us. I have been a full-time Priest on half Stipend ( with twins boys ) Since 2012. God has taken care of us. Its been hard not to be bitter at the sense of injustice, but we kept our eyes on Jesus, He has been our source and supply. Despite being on half stipend we still honour God with our Tithe and support others. Torie is spot on when she says to focus on Jesus, not Money. My wife and I live by faith and trust in Jesus and he has never failed us.

Wow. I needed this video... I have realized very recently how God has pulled me out of idolizing money since coming to Jesus last year. I used to be incredibly greedy, put my worth in my income, and worry constantly about having a career that supported me financially. And I see that in people all around me. I relate to Chad - choosing the “right” degree so I feel secure due to my upbringing. I changed my mind on my degree SO many times solely because of money. No wonder why I hated every choice and never felt peace... it’s something I’ve realized as I come close (12 days woooo) to graduating after 8 years of school. Your happiness is so much greater than money. If you don’t feel peace, it’s probably not for you. Some days I wish I wouldn’t have fought through my degree and just gave up since I wanted to so many times. I let my degree define who I was for years. Isn’t that the question everyone asks? Oh you’re in school, what are you studying? What is your plan after? But nobody asks you IF YOU ARE HAPPY. I digress.... but I now know it was a lesson the whole time. God works in mysterious ways and now it’s part of my testimony. 🙌🏼

My husband and I also believe that we were called to serve others and show hospitality and the way that we know that is because He blessed us with a home that we could never get on our own. Money will come and money will go, we just need to remember that it is the Lords.
Do you guys think you would do a series on macro view of economics? What does the Bible says about being knowledgable about economics that impact us like the 2008 Housing Bubble. I've studied very hard in the 12 years or so to learn about the stock market as I was also impacted greatly by the Housing Bubble as it led to 700 people on the sale team I was on being unemployed off by 2012. I believe that seeing what happens outside of our own influence, Federal Reserve devaluing our dollar, is not Biblical & if not how would God want us to move in another direction if others are moving away from the teaches of God? Not judging them but as more & more people bought houses that were overpriced it eventually impacted everyone either through the stock market crash or having employment issues. Thank you.
Think about the birds in your local area. Really think about them. Who feeds them? Where do they get their water? Where do they live? Who takes care of them when they are sick? God not only provides for them but goes ahead to cloth them in beauty. He loves you more than the birds. He knows you need money to survive. He knows. If He could create our planet, as perfect as it is and the only of it’s kind.. He has a plan for your finances and always did from the get go. You’d be a fool to trust your hustle over God’s provision.
