"It's not even using the road I've given it... how dare you." Hahaha, you sound like me talking to my vehicles too. Like everyone else said I am glad you are back. I really like the plan of using a reasonable 512 × 512 map to connect everything for a Let's Play instead of these giant maps people get nowhere on, get sidetracked with just a few industries and then quit. Look forward to it all coming together.
+StrawberryVodka I feel bad for being gone so long! I'll be making the effort to regularly upload now things are evened out a bit for me in real life :3
+Zest Husky Plays Haha! What I love about your videos is that we can see you love what you do. As long as you enjoy making these awsome gameplays it's fine :) Keep doing what you do!
@Hooch Smeeth Well you do realize that he isn't going to be able to respond to every comment in old videos. Also this comment could've went up like 6 months after. Also, a comment 1 YEAR before this, WHICH IS ALSO THE 10TH COMMENT IN THE TOP, Zest said he was going to make a list in the future. He won't respond to the same question, and neither would you.
How do you manage to select multiple destinations for one vehicle without having to hit "go to" after each selected destination? For me it's usually like: Bus - go to - stop1 - go to - stop 2 - go to - stop 3 - go to - stop 4 .... and so on. For long routes, that's kind of annoying. Is there a hotkey for this? Loved this video! It's cool to see how much you care about details, like having nicer stations, even though there is no effect on the gameplay.
+offy Dännerson There's a Setting somewhere which makes the game keep the GoTo option highlighted until you decide to change it, Can't remember where it is though! D: I'll have a look next time I'm recording for you :)
Good to see you back. BTW Would it be difficult to make it so that each city has as many connection types as possible? IE (if its large enough) have a train station AND a bus stop. Idk I just feel weird seeing cities where the only way to travel is by rail. But I understand if some towns are too small for it to have its own rail connection.
+Eli Barracuda That's hopefully how every city will be, that's what it is so far ^^ If there's a Rail network to a City it's because I've not had chance to build the Bus network yet haha ~ You'll see in Part 2 :3
What world generation settings have you used in order to create this map? Would you mind making a heightmap of it, or uploading the maps original state if you've got it saved?
I really support this! still up for some multipalyer action someday if you want. and two other things, 1) what mods are you using? and 2) pet the kitty
+Zest Husky Plays +1 to the newgrfs :3 as you were earlier using a lot of UK trainsets I've been wanting to use a lot from Amtrak being from the States. And awww kitteh
What grf or mods are you using for those new bus stops! Also when making a new scenario what newgrf do I use for food factories and fruit industries, and water towers and water factories
There is very nice industry replacement set named "FIRS" for different factories by climate: bundles.openttdcoop.org/firs/releases/LATEST/docs/html/get_started.html
Maybe I’m not understanding your timetabling logic. Catching back up etc. Why not just let them run? Are you trying to keep a regular flow? That’s a realism vs efficiency choice, right? I hate that this game forces you to make that choice.
Hello Zest Husky, I installed your modpack and I have a little problem. When you want to remove the 1x1 tiles in the station, I destroy all the tiles in the station. Can you please help me and tell me key combination to remove only one tile? Sorry for my english, im use translator
I'm not sure of the keyboard shortcuts, but if you select the yellow bulldozer from the Railroad Construction list, while you're building stations, that will allow you to destroy the platform for that tile. I believe you can hold down Control to also destroy the track underneath the station tile. This might be a bit late, but I hope it helps!
Zest Husky Plays Thanks, also remember that you can CTRL and drag from a signal to copy all the signals down the line till the next station to make signal creation a lot easier. :-)
Ctrl + Alt + C brings up the cheat menu, enable magic bulldozer. It really helps early on in the game, just be sure to switch it off when you're done as it also allows you to delete industry
rite if anyone wants to playaround and edit my scenario its all apart of the uk map but people can edit it to look like the uk map alot of towns are there including eastleigh so if you want to download it here's a link urban8radio.co.uk/OPENTTD/
