Eternal Sonata is criminally underrated. And totally a game you would probably love. Granted it has never been ported so it's probably beyond your ability to obtain and play.

Oh my God I loved this game!! I'm surprised to see it on the channel since it's definitely not popular. I loved the battle system and the the idea of the game being based around Chopin, it's actually how I got introduced to his music! I never finished it though since I grinded like 40 levels then the game shut down and didn't save... I'm still scarred by that a bit lol.

Eternal Sonata was a game (when I was younger) which changed me. For real. It made me love Chopin, good stories in games and the osts calm me even years later. Truly a wonderful game and SO SO SO underrated

Eternal sonata…loved this game. Hope they remade or remastered it. Love that it intertwines some Polish history in its story.

I only ever played a little bit of Eternal Sonata, but I've REALLY wanted to get it for myself. The little bit I got to try was SOOOOOO good... And yes, this aria is incredible. One of my all-time favorite pieces of music, period. ❤

Eternal Sonata is a beautiful game. I didnt play through all of it until i got the ps3 version but im not ashamed to admit this game is what got me intersted in listening to classical music. Theres still many i havent listened to but it gave me a start. Loved the characters in this. definitely worth playing through at least once Edit: i havent listened to this ost in so long but that classic sakuraba ending caught me so off guard lol

This game has easily been called my favorite game of all time ever since I played it for the first time in probably 2008. It was what got me obsessed with music even more and played a huge part in my childhood. If you've never played the game, I highly recommend it. The lyrics of the song don't make much sense unless you've played the game. I won't spoil anything, but the flowers in the game that give off light are called Heaven's Mirror. People in the game also call them "death lights" because they only bloom at 2am (ironically the same time Chopin died). So there's a whole thing in the story whether Chopin calls them "Heaven's Mirror" or "death lights." So, the line, "lights bloom/let's believe in it together" is a reference as to what name he chooses to call the flower. At least that's my take on it. The original song was written in Japanese, so the syncopation of the lyrics might be odd likely because they had to use similar lyrics in a different language for the same tune. Maybe it fit better? Idk, 11/10 OST. Great video and I was glad to see something like this pop up since it's such an unknown (but incredible) game.

In that part that sounded strange couldn't the singer have said "gli sguardi si innalzano" and not "gli sguardi si alzano"? No it is definitely "si alzano" I'd really like to see you covering this piece because I'm really curious to hear how it would sound sung by a male voice

Eternal Sonata is a woefully over-looked game. I mean, you have what appears to be a traditional JRPG, but surprise! It's actually a Frédéric Chopin documentary and EVERYTHING, from the character's names, to their weapons, is music themed!

Just came across this. I had no idea Marco reacted to this song from ES. Fascinating game and one side quest has you collecting score pieces and then finding people to play the score with to receive rewards. And everything is musically themed. The art design of the game is similar to Genshin! Maybe it will be ported some day.

Even if you just look at the plot of this game, I bet it would be quite the trip for you.

Theres actually two versions of this song, the Japanese version which I think may be the original, and the Italian version that released with the PS3. It might be why some of the Italian pronunciation might be a tad off. Either way, the Italian version still is top tier in my opinion.

Always love to hear your take on songs, scores, etc. Was wondering if you would get around to Eternal Sonata. That game is CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED! It reminded me of Vivi from FF9, with the one of the many messages in Eternal Sonata. That one should value the time that they have left and spent.

You should do a reaction to the full OST sometime, especially the battle theme, Leap the Precipice. You see, in an RPG, the battle should be able to put you ONTO the battlefield, fighting alongside with your party and this does that extremely well.

One of my favorite examples is the full version of Dopo Il Sogno from gunslinger girl - takes some inspiration from Faure's Apres un reve but is still really good.

Hey Marco you absolutely have to do a playthrough of the recently-released game Bramble the Mountain King! It's a beautiful and dark dive into North Celtic mythology with great music to boot. It seems right up your alley and has some epic dark and beautiful tracks and imagery. I highly recommend you check out the song Moonlight and blood as well as the unique rendition of Hall of the Mountain King simply called Mountain King.

Oh, I really liked this game. Haven´t finished it though. ^^ It is kind of different from other games. Calm and dreamy. And also there is a lot of chopin in it. And chopin was the best pianist, in my opinion. ^^
