@@Dr.TalhaKhan I have a small setup of a 3.6kw inverter and 2 tubular batteries acting as UPS in my home for 2 years. Now we're in the process of installing a 10kw On-grid solar setup which will work alongside the UPS. So in the case of load shedding, the solar setup will switch off and UPS will work in the same way as it has been working with the grid.
@FarrukhHassan i was wondering about this solution, no solar provider seem to offer this solution and do not have the technical understanding to provide this solution. Can you please provide more info as to how this setup works?

engine runing idle is still going to consume the fuel which is half under load. still exensive option. if you are living in pakistan go for hybrid inverters these inverters can work without batteries

Hello Jawad, For the synchronization we need a grid forming source, home ups cannot be the because of certain reasons. 1- more than 90% inverters are 3 phase and the home ups is a single phase. 2- ups is a smaller source than solar system in most of the cases. The load will trip if solar production drop at certain time of the day. We can do synchronization with generator/battery storage (PCS)/wind any other reliable grid forming source. Unfortunately ups is not the one.

I think instead of a generator, we can have a battery and small inverter to mimic the generator and only a light load..... Study need to be done about the exact working of the controller.
Small ups is a single phase output while an ongrid inverter most of the time is a 3 phase out. It's not possible to sink these two. 2nd you need a grid forming device, we are not trying to trick the inverter by mimicking anything. A stable source is required on the opposite side.
Sir, I am unable to understand the purpose of this system? Can't we use simple change-over switches instead of this expensive system? A similar scenario was explained by AJ Electric.
Hybrid inverters can not bear large loads and would trip if there is sudden cloud coverage, etc. Battery would be required for night time or cloudy days. This is a solution for those who don’t want to invest in batteries, expensive hybrid inverters and/or have already invested in generators before solar

@@syedowaisali there is an option for dual output in hybrid inverters and you can use light load with batteries. The system described in this video is useless for domestic purpose as it will bring running cost every month for which people are shifting towards solar :)
Do on-grid or even Hybrid inverter export the excess energy produced to Wapda in load-shedding. What I wanted to ask is that can we export the excess power produced by solar in load shedding or not?

I don't find this system feasible for maybe a 10 kW system. If the system's capital expenditure is ~500k ( device + wiring + labour ) , then with that amount, one can get batteries. Then, considering the maintenance of batteries, let's assume changing batteries after 3 years. One would have burned more fuel on the generator. I just don't get the usecase of this system.

Solar ki capacity walon par tax wali khabar bhi jhoot thi. Haan excess units ki purchase price shayad kam karaengy is liye solar thora ziada over capacity wala lagana chahiye bill zero karnay kay liye.

what about connecting a UPS with Inverter to provide it with AC current to make it run, as inverter will provide energy to the house in load shedding while keep itself running through UPS current?

Dear Owais, I'm actually contemplating on setting up a solar system which would negate the need and dependency for on-grid electricity given the exorbitant prices. @@syedowaisali Consider a normal system with an on grid inverter and utility supply. On grid inverter generates power and export. The exported generation is first utilized in the main distribution of the premises and surplus is fed into the grid. Now if inbuilt zero export device is enabled, there is no grid feeding of surplus energy. Now replace the grid with a generator etc. The generator simulates the grid and the inverter turns on and starts generation. As long as you manage the load according to available irradiance, it should work fine, innit?

Hi Syed .... Its very unfortunate that neither you nor anybody highlighted a very simple solution to the mentioned problem in the video. I feel as a society we are only interested in ready made solutions not seeking to solve problems. Instead of this expensive and difficult-to-replicate setup, this issue can be resolved with a simple small hybrid inverter to generate a pure sine wave signal to simulate like a grid inverter it would work perfectly without any generator.
