Your Eiki projector can provide hours of fun and entertainment. It might also attract the opposite sex and impress your neighbors! But you don't want to look like an idiot, so learn the tricks of running your Eiki.
One of the BEST "training films" I have ever seen. My grandfather was a projectionist for a major theater, and I was the school projectionist for my school (I was about the only one who knew how to run the school projector). I just wish I'd had this film then! Great humor and light-heartedness. Humor is a GREAT way to improve the memory of what you want an audience to remember!
@@databits agreed, your voice reminds me of the voice for fnaf sister location that told you how to use the hand unit, the one that goes “exotic butters”
When I was in primary school in the late 70's/early 80's, I quickly learnt how to use this projector. Bear in mind I was around 9 or 10 yrs old at the time. I was often called to run the projector for other classes. I also ran the projector for the end-of-year 3-hr movie with the 1-hr long-play reels. They were heavy!!
Brent, I always wanted to be that guy to operate the projector, but they just wouldn't let kids touch them. So I grew up and bought my own projector. :D
databits Most high school these days probably don't maintain a "A/V Club" anymore, I wanted to be in one but mine didn't have such a cool club in the 90's when it still mattered.
Very informative and entertaining video. Besides having a spare lamp on hand, I would also recommend having a bunch of rubber belts on standby too. I used to operate an Eiki 16mm projector and the belts in the arms would break extremely frequently.
Hi there, thanks for the brilliant video! My projector seems to be running fine apart from no lamp light (which I'm replacing) and both spools aren't twisting at all when I run it - any idea why this might be? Thanks
Thanks so much for this...its been a huge help. Can I ask...with the speakers...do I connect the on-board ones to the projector via a phone to phone lead?
My motor is working fine but despite changing the bulbs a few times the light just doesn't come on. Is this because I already attracted a mate and can get any girl I want? My mate is male if that makes a difference. Cheers
When the film didn't catch inside the take-up reel when you tried it, when you said "if you do it too soon, your film won't lock into the hole" and I was thinking you're gonna say "and then you look like a dumbass" because that's how I feel whenever that happens xD
You say the projection bulb is "easy to remove" but nevertheless it would have been nice to show how it's done. On a Bell & Howell Filmosound it is indeed very simple. On an EIKI that ejection lever (directly below the lamp) requires some force and is not always that user friendly.
Chris Cushing That is a shame, I had better luck in the 90's when schools were throwing that stuff out every Summer! That's how I started my collection!
OH my Oh my, now why however would you ask such a silly question? Why, the way he speaks seems perfectly normal to me! In any case, have a wonderful, wonderful day and learn what's so great about owning an Eiki RT-0 16mm projector!
