Good of you to commend the men that can operate at such a high level in hostile environments, I will never forget the men of the Selous Scouts, or C SQDN SAS (RhSAS), and in particular, the lads in their late teens and early twenties of the RLI, who nearly ripped the heart out of Mugabe's operational capability. Been covered so many times now, but if the bush war had continued for another six months, Mugabe was on his arse and maybe Zimbabwe would not have been the basket case it now is! Special mention to D SQDN SAS - South African Recce Commando's and the SA boys that flew the choppers on Operation Uric, Puma Hotel Four, three of whom lost their lives along with RLI boys, the last external op we did. Great lads and a lot of camaraderie between us all.
