I disagree. I came here because someone I trusted mentioned this theory, so I came open minded. This gave very few actual facts, some of which were skewed from what I read on other sites (that the Mockingbird program was admitted to as a wire tapping program on 2 specific journalists, that the journalists on the CIA payroll were small in number and mostly not in serious news organizations, ect. Of course, these items could be lies from the Cia, but it makes it seem like you want people to believe your opinion more than you want them to have all the facts and make an informed choice). And at the end the voice over didnt just give their opinion, they talked about it as fact "I'm really scared this IS happening" This comes off as over simplifying a large issue and fear mongering for views.

Purpose is still the same, it just expanded VASTLY to keep up with the times of the tech boom, and just how hard wars are getting to sell and justify since Vietnam in this new millennium...What also changed was this CIA/media marriage has actually became normalized, with the way corporate news hires spooks out in the open all the time now..the part that is actually covert now is actually scarier with even less accountability now. ...at least the CIA is a government agency, so occasionally, you might be able get them to share what they are actually doing on the tax payers dime, even if you do need to get a judge with a court order on FOIA grounds ..they now outsource most, and have the NGOs and think tanks(CFR, NED, Atlantic, PNAC etc) handle the shadowy side of their social engineering (aka mass indoctrination and brainwashing) operations.

I just fully realized the entirety of this more than ever recently and idk what to do about it. Is there anything that can set us free? I can’t even look at commercials anymore without seeing mass influence and control. It’s starting to drive me mad. I find long term comfort in believing in god, the beauty of nature, the full potential of the human mind and soul, and the possibility of someday blending into the overall positive energy of all that is after this lifetime. That said, you can't be too smart if you have a debt pushing $35 trillion US and an off balance sheet debt of $200 trillion. Who is the Government? In the USA, theoretically and by design, The Government is a selected group of The People. People, generically, have varying attitudes, opinions, and agendas. The government becomes the tool of a specific Agenda only if people of a differing agenda abrogate their responsibility to be heard in the Government. There is no conspiracy, only the organizing of individuals to express their agenda. To the extent that we refuse to participate in the process of Government, we are subjecting ourselves to the desired agenda of others. There is no conspiracy in this, only a lack of individual responsibility. Be active in Government or face the consequences.

Carlos Gonsalez Probably. I only say this because the American media NEVER talks about how often we interfere in democratically elected governments. If most people assume we are in a country to “spread freedom” it’s a lot easier to keep the troops there.
