It is always a pleasure to listen DR Simon Mitchen talking about tec diving and physic. Being myself recreational and tec instructor I often relate and recommend your lecture. Safe Dive all.
Brilliant content, I learned so much, thank you! Another point to make is the helium has gone up in price because it is a finite resource (on planet earth at least!) with uses in fusion. I have no doubt at some point in the future people will think using 7000 liters of it on one dive is absolutely crazy!
I've been to 56m on air, and suffered little in the way of narcosis, if anything I was just a little bit slower than usual, and more focused on safety. I know someone who's been to 80m on air, but says he "probably left a bit of his brain behind on that dive."
Always a pleasure and an amazing experience listening to Dr. Mitchell, I've learned so much, just amazing 👌. However, I've one quick question: if I remember right, in one of his lectures he was asked by someone which dive computer he's using for his tech dives but I can't find this specific point where he's saying that. Does anyone know which tech dive comp Dr. Mitchell is recommending? Thanks in advance and good diving 👌.
I wonder if the guy who ignored the warnings at 48:30 was influenced by the “don’t trust dive computers” belief put forward by some very well known tech diving organizations…..he ignored his rebreather because he’s been told for years dive computers are not to be trusted.
