When you did that, anything they released after would never sound as good as their old stuff. I still remember the disappointment when they released Deliverance/Damnation, and pretty much everything else thereafter. Not the band's fault, it's just perception.

Killer! Thanks yet again for another Jem. Little of topic but I was thinking the other day of how I wish there was a Making of still life like there is for the rest of the albums minus pale communion. We all know it started with blackwater park but it would have been so awesome to see a making of for still life and MAYH.

There’s simply no “making” in Still Life, there were no demos made. Mikael went from writing the album roughly on paper to the studio. The man’s pure genius
