he wrote the whole album damnation i think as a tribute to his grandmother, (she was very dear to him) who passed away in an tragic accident.

This entire album is like this. Nothing hard. And it is still in my constant rotation. Specially when me and my lady are driving since she's not too big a fan of all the growly stuff. Even if you don't react to it, life would not be complete if you failed to listen to this album in one sitting.

Opeth has been around for over 3 decades and in my opinion is the most underrated metal band in that time period and perhaps the most underrated metal band in the history of metal. Jinjer has said that Opeth is a major influence and their favorite metal band and Tatiana Shmaylyuk said that Mikael Akerfeldt is the best vocalist in this genre.

I'm relatively new to Opeth and I don't know how I missed them for so long.I always made the joke that I was always listening to Disturbed, but for awhile I thought nobody could measure up to what they were doing.But anyway Opeth is such a talented band and they sound like nobody else, and they have that progressive element to their music 🎵🎶.Love your channel guys and you rock🤘

Opeth has been a favorite of mine for a long time. It's interesting to see how they've evolved over the years. Damnation is such a beautiful masterpiece. You should listen to the whole album.

Death Whispered a Lullaby is also another beautiful song by Opeth and Master's Apprentices is a great heavy song that has some nice changes in it 🤘
