That sounded infinitely better than the Heritage version. Actually, this is some of the best shit I've ever heard anywhere. When a band can sound this good live, you know you've got something special.
The more I listen to Fredrick I realize that he is just one of the best in the business...his tone is just incredible...he's got the perfect rig, but it's also in his hands...really really great
Axenrot should have been with them since the very beginning. He's much, much more capable than Martin Lopez who ruined a lot of incredible songs with his lazy and frequently low-energy performance, case in point being Godhead's Lament. I think it's telling that we got the first (and last) blastbeat ever in an Opeth song when Axenrot stepped in.

@@ernestoleighton3067 I think he was having an off night---it happens. Plus, it was a high elevation site, easy to get out of breath if you're not used to it. Even songs like GoP, which he has absolutely nailed in the past seemed like he was dragging.
If you’re going to sell your soul to Satan, at least get something more in return than just killer guitar skil-- ummm, I don’t know that one guy does have himself some skillzzz. BUT first I’d want to see what skills the God of heaven would give me. Plus the lighting in heaven I think would seem less gloomy, where as in hell they would have to make more use of lighting to make it seem roomier.
