Jocktober is basically watching o&a project their insecurities onto others. Jim with his jerky boys, opie with the "everything's a bit" contributes nothing, and ant with his "happy to be there" "laughs at everything" guy attitude. Its funny to hear them trash people even if it does completely undermine their own show.

I could be wrong but I see the "chip" voice as an evolution of the voice both Jimmy and Florentine do when making fun of someone being overly sensitive or complaining. It's similar in tone and cadence. In my opinion anyway.
