also ron is the only thing keeping this alive. you can hear when both anthony and jimmy tap out. it's a lot of "yeah" "yeah"s to anything he tries to bring up.
@@timetowakeup6302 Eh, Ron, Jim and Ant. Anthony and Gavin would be too much political shit and I don’t think that would blend well with Ron. I mean it wouldn’t be Ant, Ron and Colin Faherty level cause Gavin can be pretty funny, but I’d rather Jimmy be third mic. Though really I’d still pay the money for Ant, Gavin and Ron
It will always be the biggest radio mistake, that Ron, Anthony, Jim, and Sam didn’t get a show. Ron and Anthony holding court telling interesting stories, Jim with the fastball comedy, and Sam being the perfect board op who can run the show, take a beating while not getting butt hurt. That would have been Radio Gold.
I Have no gripe or quarrel with Opie, no one can replace the dynamic he brings to the table, but w/ Ronnie added to Ant and Jimmy it's a different show--one that I like more. Bennington has more to offer as a host (IMO)
27:30 Crash was a bunch of LA people coming together to try and make an "anti-LA movie" and it was doomed because of that. Not surprised Jimmy was the only one who liked it, dummy.
@@lithium23 well it wasn't doomed, most ppl who watched didn't care if its LA or fkin Kentucky and tbh it was more of an anti xenophobic metropolitan America (this phrase makes me sick reading out loud) more than an anti LA. Since when did high brow social commentary drama movies do well across the world? Those type of movies are notoriously hated. Say what u want crash was well written amongst the horrendous substitutes to this day. What u said is true to u not in general was my point. Ur being delusional if u think most ppl hated it. It would've gotten bad reviews. This is before batshit liberals who would've been too confused to deal with characters that don't have black and white personalities.
@artistlogic ha sorry. I would, but this clip alone took an hour and a half to upload. My internet sucks at the moment. Specific bits are a lot easier.
Great episode, maybe no Opie helps things like that? But GOD DAMN I HATE IT WHEN AUDIO HAS POPPING ISSUES LIKE THIS! AAAAAAAAAAA I JUST WANT TO LISTEN TO IT WITHOUT HATING LIFE
amazing how much better Ron Bennington is with capable co-hosts ya know. I'm not hating on fez....well I am. Ron constantly has to keep the conversation going with the intern or Hicks because all of a sudden Fez isn't "Confident" and he's "Shy" on a satellite radio show heard nationwide.
Whenever Opie is not in the studio, I get excited to play the clip... and then you hear the most annoying voice in the history of radio, Sam Roberts. 🤮 Talk about disappointment. He is the worst.
ugh hearing Jimmy defending crash is nauseating. He makes all these statements of things it did that haven't been done which aren't true at all, and apparently thinks a movie is good just because it does something that hasn't been done (which it really didn't). Also he thinks he saw Raising Arizona once. Pathetic.
