He’s still working in production but not on the air. He lives down in Texas not too far from me, ran into him twice at events he’s actually a really nice guy. I heard he has a personality that might rub people the wrong way if you work with him - he gets intense about it - but if you get a chance to just talk to him he’s pretty chill. I didn’t bring up the Jocktober stuff although I was tempted.

seems like they spent ten minutes coming up with the lyrics. then again, most of Todd's parody songs seemed like they were created while he was on the shitter. horrible. "it could suck more than others know" "more irritating than four-square" what?!

Interestingly enough, it's been definitively proven that Norton actually stole his "Chip" character from the Jerky boys. So Jimmy was just projecting his insecurity about his own joke stealing. Instead of answering questions like a normal person who might want to pique the interest of the readers and convert that into listeners, all of his answers are dripping with absolutely phony swagger and the attitude of “I’m changing the rules and making history with this new show. Now that I’m not carrying around that old guy that basically brought me up into a career, I’m going to change the game of radio.” It’s infuriating how utterly stupid he sounds, and I live thinking about how, after this first episode aired, he probably went home, put on the tape to listen to so that he could savor how awesome his creation sounded, and upon hearing it went “oh god. Again, Todd has a vision of what radio USED to be - where the DJs were the center of the universe and it was "vital" that they were out there in the community. Howard Stern and O&A completely blasted that theory to smithereens. Especially in this age of digital and on-demand. There's no need to keep your radio tuned to on station in the hope that just MAYBE you'll hear your favorite song. Dial it up on Spotify or order it on iTunes and have it within milliseconds. It's really funny that Todd wanted to "revolutionize" radio by going back to what the medium hadn't been in decades.
