He could have been basketball star, he could have been a model. Remember he grew up poor. He has humble beginnings. He can be more than just a radio guy spinning records. Instead he chooses to be a washed up talentless nothing that barely breaks 100 views on his “podcast”

@@sentientdogma1206 Sure, but the fun thing with being a "math wiz" is that MATH in comparisson to your looks and body, doesn't change. If your a math wiz at 12 your still a math wiz at 79, math doesn't change, unless you get a stroke or severe demetia. This is why it's so much more fun than what you mentioned.

Opie doesn't understand that doing something since you were 18 doesn't mean you have any talent. The fact that he hasn't gotten a radio job since filming Roland on the toilet proves he has zero talent.

The fact that he is incapable of doing a basic podcast or even holding a conversation proves he has no talent. Opie's talent was being an asshole. It worked when he was younger, and his audience was younger, but it's not a talent that ages well.

Yep total failure as a bit. Whenever i hear this is what they are doing I skip it every tim. Gets old after first time. No reason to keep doing it over and over.

I will say sometime the dumb listeners would fall for it. I remember one time they did the bleep game and someone called in and said “what the fuck man? I thought XM was uncensored!” Needless to say they attacked him

90% of O&A humor is juvenile and low effort >que 500th goodfellas reference >que jimmy saying pee pee and poo poo and tranny >que anthony making the same miscarriage joke for the 1000th time O&A was infinitely more fun to listen to when I was in Middle school, now that I'm older it's borderline unlistenable at points

Opie's flipping out at the end was embarrassing. This was also the era where Opie was always asking what they had to do to get their ratings up on regular radio. The audience is trying to tell you but your childish ego doesnt want to hear it. And then he says Sam hit another homerun with this bit. According to whom? After they were fired from CBS, when a bit bombed they would cut it short.

No it wasn't. If ant didn't get himself fired it would have ended up the ant and jim show after opie got himself fired for taking pictures of someone in the bathroom. I agree with almost all of what ant said about a lot of things but he should have reeled it in a little around 2012 when cancel culture really started ramping up. 😕 what could have been, sigh.
