@@MrRoundwound Dont know, i still cant understand how he had a job for all those years. He i worthless and contributes nothing to the show, literally all he does is say ''alright were gonna take a break'' or ''lets take a caller''
@@JK-fv1me The best I've ever seen him (in a consistent sense at least) is the hacky Real Rock TV era O&A. For what that era was, he was good in it. He obviously was having fun and loved the job. Contrast that with O&J, even the last few years of O&A, but especially O&J. At first I thought I heard enough O&A to dislike Opie and get why others do, then I decided it was only the 'buildup to the end' version of Op I dislike-- that it was eventually hearing RRTV that made me decide this. THEN it dawned one that my O&A knowledge was all ass-backwards. My actual listening to the show was totally out of order, therefore my understanding of the situation would be totally mixed up. When I try to understand what I know in actual chronological order, it makes alot of fucking sense that lifelong fans would be disgusted with how things played out with Opie. It isn't anywhere near as simple as 'he was better during xxx' or 'he had his moments' or 'he was never meant to be funny, just an on air PD'. Some people are disapointed in how he turned out as a person, not because 'he fuckin stinks' but because they followed and loved the show and its hosts since day 1
@@tedsheckler6648 this whole time I thought the song was even worse "some are odd and some are strange..." I thought it was strange twice but your version is better.
The problem with harsh punishments for pdf files is that more kids won’t be found. Louis CK has a bit about it. If the punishment for disappearing a kid isn’t much worse than the punishment for messing with them, the creeps will just make sure they are gone. It’s a tough thing to control. Gotta prevent it.
Skip the peanut butter factory one. Trust me. It's 90% of Opie's "I'm tellin ya!"s and him going to useless callers who just keep restating what was already said.
That's not his fault that the callers are stupid. They called out so many callers that state a reason for calling and then say something completely different than that. If you go by your logic they would never ever go to phone calls, like Anthony.
@Wutaskier that's an odd reaction. His joke was right in line with anything they've said on O&A. They've made fun of everything on this show. Do you get offended by O&A clips pretty frequently? It just seems strange that you'd deliberately watch something that upsets you.
@@ryanbates362 I done studied The Bible and it says a man goes to hell, I calls it Hades, for being a glutton. Well, I reckon it's best to send those types of folks straight back to the good Lord, let him deal with those fat messes sos us normal folk don't have to watch them shovel all them French fries potatoes into their mouth hhmm hhmm. Poor fat fella couldn't even be funny even though he was the size to be jolly.
@@radiusone216 You call it Hades? Wow, you're so cool. Only a real edgy, cool guy like you could come up with an idea like combining Greek mythology and Christianity. Teach us all how to be as amazing and edgy as you
"a chastity belt is required for every masseuse" Opie: "man it must suck getting a massage while wearing a chastity belt..." he's been doing radioooo since he was 18 but doesn't listen half the time and is horrible at reading and speaking. "wait...who's wearing the padlock?" the masseuses! they said it in the beginning of the goddam clip!
The laugh Opie gives when they are doing the story of the Floormat Mother made me laugh even harder. It's terrible, I feel bad for the woman but I couldn't stop laughing
Its like he gets worse every time, with his bringing up the same god damn things over and over, and stepping over peoples jokes, and trying to push stupid unfunny bits
How do you not atleast get a Free Throw in a 100-0 Defeat? That Coach should have been given an Award for Coaching his Team to Never Foul in a 100 Point Lead.
27:00 - A box of autographed Castro cigars is up there on the memorabilia list. I have a Tony Accardo autograph on the back of a Marshal Field's sweepstakes entry form from 1983. The longest reigning mob boss in or country's history. I've never seen another autograph from him, maybe a tax form or a check could be produced, but I still haven't seen any, but I don't consider those autographs anyhow, they're signatures.
FYI, the image of the woman with the revolver is Rebecca Hall portraying Christine Chubbuck, the news reporter who committed suicide on live television.
Esoterick Soul Same here dude. Can you believe that in those days a woman, no matter how accomplished in her career, knew that if she was still single at 30 that might as well just kill herself? So depressing that things aren’t like that any more.
Something is wrong in maternity wards.....my friend also caught the flesh eating disease after having her baby. Except hers was in her stomach in the the place where the cesarean was done.
Probably nobody will give a damn, but the woman who became an amputee after giving birth. A kind of similar thing happened to my brothers dad, not my step dad btw, let's call him Dave. Some dude on a bike was running from the cops and T boned Dave in the pursuit. Smashed directly into the drivers door, Dave was driving. Dave was expected to make a full recovery but later died from some flesh eating virus or disease, my brother had to sue the hospital just to get the results. I believe it happened around the same time as the story was aired on O&A, but idk when it actually aired. I think that's what happened. I'm drunk, and this happened a long while ago
Punishing a team for being good should make those players leave the State and never play for any colleges in that State, take away all of their Government money for Sports programs at their Colleges, and bankrupt them all. States get as much money from their College Sports teams as they do from any other industry.
Supposedly recently there is real footage of that woman who shot herself on the news in black and white hard to hear her and it was very quick her head hit the table harder and louder than the bullet going off.
One of the only things I disagree with Anthony with. The rock n roll hall of fame is great, even if you’re not a rock fan. They got somethin for everyone
Her name is Christine Chubbuck. That picture is from a Netflex movie about her life. She killed herself on live news in the 70s. The movie is called "Christine".
