This is some of the best ball busting they've ever done. The back and forth between Rich and Jim shows just how quick and smart those twats CAN be. It would be hard to match Jim's conversational humor. These guys have made almost every other so-called-comedian near impossible to listen to without cringing at their attempts to be funny. They can't make me laugh like this. The 'noose slipping on Jims neck' line has me in tears every time I hear it. Top drawer show.
It was an Nopie show right until Sherrod showed up. Just like James Earl Jones's head right, right... (crickets) No wonder he ended up doing a show with Opie. Unfortunately he's the only one that survived.
Vos is the best god damn counter puncher ever. He may fuck up on his own and give you stuff to blast him with but you'll never hit him in a way he can't slap right back at you.
Is there anywhere in this video where Jim/Ant mention the community centre scene in Jaws? On the monday episode "ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gcqN8wuuBbQ.htmlh54m" at 2:54:00 Jim says "Did we talk about this on friday? We did right?" But I don't see it anywhere.
I've never heard of Sherrod Small, but I'm excited because he seems to fit in great. Everyone was in top form! Thanks so much for uploading these, you are my hero. I'm in South Korea and thanks to you I can listen to O&A!!
You could write 247 more time stamps of Sam trying too hard. Something about it is endearing though, I love seeing Sam rising to the top. He’s a snarky little shit but he was funny in his own regard and it’s not like there was a laundry list of people to take over for O&A. We have like 10 years of audio of Sam working his way through the company. Him grabbing the board on days like this are great examples of what the company would see as an asset taking charge.
One of my favorite o&a show ! Rich vos is on fire! Colin Quinn , the funniest comedian Alive! Anthony is course is hilarious. Chip should be in a MOVIE.
I see some variation of this explanation of Opie's value all the time, and having listened to countless hours over the past six years, I have to say it's simply not true. There have been plenty of Opie-less shows that went smoothly and plenty of shows with him that were train-wrecks. He's derailed and run enough bits into the ground that I don't believe this rhetoric about Opie keeping the show on track.
Does anyone know where we can get the colin quinn on O&A that omgwtfitsteve had? He had every episode, the patrice and louis ck archives are up, but no colin and jim jeffries?????
The day after listening to this show my abs were painful from laughing, im not even a fat fuck either. I love it when theres no opie and they fill the room with comedians but It wouldnt work everyday.
56:57 Rare time Vos is 100% correct. Nicotine by itself is not carcinogenic. It can give you high blood pressure and increased risk of blood clots but that's about it. By itself nicotine is near harmless.
Casino has a much bigger budget. There are 2 narrators in both, but they're both men in Casino. Casino has a "happier" ending, or at least the main character doesn't have as big a fall. Goodfellas is also the tighter film of the two, there's not a minute more or less than was needed. They're both great though.
The titular scene in Star Wars really ruined it where there's a stowaway on the millenium falcon messing with the feathers and he goes "I'm just so tired of all these star wars"
That's like saying I ate strawberry ice-cream before I tried vanilla so I like it more. Nostalgic and without any logical basis. Maybe strawberry is better than vanilla for you, or you prefer Casino to goodfellas. But it shouldn't be because you experienced one earlier than the other. It should be because you like it more. Then you can examine why that is.
Good points...but I can listen to them shit on Vos for 2.5 hours. :) Actually, I met Bonnie McFarlane last summer, I mentioned I'd heard VOs forever on O&A, and she said he's actually a great, sweet guy.
I disagree. The smashing he takes in this show, most guys would get cunty and walk out or mo out and start crying. He takes it like a man and (occasionally) gets someone back. Having said that, I hope they do give him a MENSA approved, psycologist supervised IQ test. He's in the mid 90s, max. A high-functioning tard. Still love him though.
TBH when they are all together the show sounded a ball of chaos and not in a good way. Too all over the place. Opie does direct the show and keep it on track when a lot of people are there.
Op is a professional. He keeps things on track. He's nowhere near as funny as Ant, but he knows he to keep things on topic and switch topics when it needs to be done.
