I think we still had dittos in south Louisiana in the eighties and nineties. The teacher would disappear for like a half hour and would come back with these things that sometimes looked like what the youth of today might be able to relate to as a combination of motion blur and Gaussian blur.

Not only do I remember Topo Gigio and Senor Wences on the Ed Sullivan show, I remember those guys who'd come out and spin plates on top of sticks, though their name escapes me. Old school entertainment? More like pre-school entertainment.
The last half of the 1980s it was always film strips in school but even then it seemed date. I remember they were reel to reel though. I'm not much older than Sam so Idk what he's talking about
