It's strange how some huge meme can totally slip past you. The leprechaun sighting is from 2006 & has its own Wikipedia entry, but it's news to me. When the "amateur sketch" appeared, I nearly pissed my pants laughing. The funniest part of the whole thing is that the local news in Mobile treated it with the same seriousness they treat everything else, including the picture. A man in paramilitary clothing with a metal "flute" that "wards off spells" handed down "from thousands of years ago" by his "great great grandfather". That's some fucking old ancestors.
It's incredible to me how stuff like this became social phenomenon. Double Rainbow, Leave Britney Alone, etc. It was everywhere for a brief period, now MrBeast gets more views in a week and nobody cares.

And speaking of kids there's 7 year olds with fully automatics running around there. Everyone else is starving and drugs run rampid in the slums. The villages are made of tin shacks and they literally stack trash in piles surrounding the shacks and covering beaches. When we drop emergency food supplies the warlords take them and if someone wants any they have to join up with them. Yeah great setup over there.
I'm black..I come from a low-income community..and I don't fit the stereotypes you have against us. I love youtube, though..It really shows you how people really feel about things with the benefit of being anonymous, which makes it more true. I remember my grandfather telling me a story about how 3 of his siblings died in a car accident, but their deaths could have been prevented if it weren't for the jim crow-era laws going on at the time. Black people couldn't go to white hospitals, so when the medics arrived to the accident scene, they left after they realized they were black. No help at all. Didn't even call the black hospital that was 20 miles away. All 3 of his brothers were WW2 vets. No matter what persuasion, liberal, conservative -- white people will never respect us or like us. Never have, never will. Always will look at us as a stereotype.

After seeing the leprechaun bit, I was hanging out with my childhood best friend. We went out to the local pub and he tried to convince people he was a black Irishman too.

Favorite news story was about two black dudes arguing over who makes the best kool-aid, turned into a shooting. ATTEMPTED MURDER OVER FUCKING KOOL-AID!
