The fake laughter is cringey but the genuine laughter was fun to hear. Unfortunately the fake laughter outweighed the real in the last few years of the show. His current show is ALL fake and desperate laughter. See guys, I'm still funny! Look at what a good time we're having here! Only $13/month! Ugh

Nah....Joan Rivers changed the story to her favor after Carson died. I've seen the story on both sides of his death and she fucking changed it. Didn't have the ovaries to say that shit while he could respond
Opie's insecurity is in full bloom here. He's so unhappy about not being funny that he continually has to pull the handbrake to remind everyone that he controls the show. HOLD ON HOLD ON! His inability to notice anyone else causes a pointless diversion on the difference between Ed McMahon and Ed Sullivan because Slow to Catch On Hughes wasn't listening again and wanted to remind everyone of his presence by interrupting the jokes and ruining the flow.
Did Patrice really lose though? He meant the current Bush at that time. I think they all forgot in all the noise and yelling. He did an impression of Bush Sr. but they weren't thinking.
Why were some of them trying so hard to rip Rich Little? Opie was trying to make it seem as if he was the worst pro impersonator to ever be on TV. Why? Rich was not nearly as bad as they tried to make it seem. I hate vicious babbling without reason. I imagine they were doing that just for the sake of being controversial for the sake of bringing more attention to the show(whomever it belonged to). Like teenage girls spreading gossip. Being a contrarian isn't funny. Contradicting something, contradicting the popular opinion just for the sake of doing it isn't funny. That doesn't make you a comedian. It just makes you a jealous, malicious, slanderous contrarian. Rich was not THAT bad. He was rather excellent at what he did. Just stop with this ingenuine pretense.
