"We had to plow the garden with our brand new bikes" Yes actual quote. "We had to grow our own fruits and vegetables to try and save a little change" When pushed about the bike thing since it makes no sense, he said they came up with the idea of tying boards behind their bikes but it didn't work well and the boards just bounced around. So not only was it not forced and something they came up with but he said brand new bikes and probably grew things just to grow things. You don't really save anything that way.

Every time I try to think which was the worst show they did on Jocktober, it's always a close call between John & Jeff and Leo & Rebecca. Leo & Rebecca was like getting stabbed in the ear with an ice pick. John & Jeff is more like chinese water torture. The slow drip of drawn out inanity until you're screaming in agony for it to stop.

It’s got to be John and Jeff. Leo and Rebecca were terrible but this is so repetitive that it’s unlistenable. Bad bits and bad production are still better than just two guys sitting around repeating themselves to fill up time and run out the clock. Leo and Rebecca at least ate up time without stretching. In that sense, EVERY show they ever Jocktobered is better than John and Jeff. This is absolutely the worst thing I’ve ever heard on the radio.

dorpth Why is it the people with the worst ideas get soooo passionate about seeing them to come to reality? Opie was the kind of kid who would always want to make "new rules" when you would play as a child. Between his "half a fez" shit and his illiterate reading of the least funny instant feedbacks I question his comedic sensibility.

"Linger longer" was a thing when they were doing half the show on FM and then walking over to XM to do the 2nd half.. Basically they were now broadcasting to a new/different audience on satellite radio.. the show is absolutely littered with inside jokes as I'm sure you've figured out.. "linger longer" was something they would say to basically communicate to new listeners that if they didn't understand a particular line or joke that they needed to just keep listening and eventually they'd get clue'd in.. it sort of ran its course but Opie is the absolute king of running jokes/catchphrases that were just barely funny to begin with directly into the god damn ground..
